12 years agoThey were 4-5 hours late. Upon arrival did not have the parts (I told them specifically what was needed). Left to go to supply house came back, still did not have all the parts (were missing new circuit breaker). I was charge for 2 huys to drive around, 1 sat in the truck because it was a 1 man job. The circuit box it 2 feet from installation area. So frustrating, they also charged me for the 2nd trip for the circuit- total buffoonery! When I questioned about the over charges Sam Horn became condescending.

FAQ
Does Horn Electric provide free estimates for electrical work?
We determine pricing based on the scope of the project, materials required, and time needed for tasks like backup generator installations or fire alarm systems. Free estimates are available to assess your industrial, commercial, or residential needs in the Rochester area. This allows homeowners to understand costs upfront for services such as low voltage installations or city violation corrections.
Are you licensed and insured for electrician services?
Horn Electric holds the necessary licensing and insurance to perform safe electrical work across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Our coverage protects both our team and your property during installations like landscape lighting or voice data systems. Homeowners can request verification details before scheduling to ensure compliance with local Penfield and Rochester standards.
Does Horn Electric handle backup generators and fire alarm systems?
We manage a full range of electrical services including backup generators, fire alarm systems, low and high voltage installations, and new construction work. Our expertise extends to landscape lighting, voice data systems, and correcting city violations for properties in the Rochester area. This comprehensive scope ensures all your electrical needs are addressed with technical precision.
What should I expect for arrival times and job timelines with you?
We schedule jobs with clear arrival windows and aim to complete work efficiently, such as finishing a full-day project even if it extends beyond initial estimates. Factors like sourcing specific parts may cause brief delays, but we communicate updates promptly. Homeowners can plan around our commitment to thoroughness while minimizing disruptions to your Penfield or Rochester property.
Does Horn Electric clean up after electrical jobs?
We leave your property clean and organized by removing all debris from installations or repairs, such as wiring for high voltage systems or landscape lighting. Our team handles waste responsibly to maintain safety and efficiency on-site. This practice ensures your home or business returns to normal use right after completion.
Why is hiring you safer than doing electrical work as a DIY project?
Our professional approach uses local knowledge and technical precision to handle complex tasks like fire alarms or generators, avoiding risks of shocks, fires, or code violations common in DIY attempts. Professionals identify issues like overloaded circuits that homeowners might miss, ensuring systems run safely. This method prevents costly damages and keeps your Rochester-area property compliant and efficient.
