They did a great job and communicated everything they were doing to keep us in the know when they first came to do our insulation. Very nice people! As with old houses, there was no air duct where they went to blow insulation in the walls so they accidentally blew insulation in our bedroom thru the vent. They cleaned it up all nice and neat, but when we found out months later after turning the heat back on, the vent wasn't blowing heat, they came right out and took care of the blockage for us. Would definitely recommend them!

I appreciated the fact that the boss told me some areas did not need insulation, and he surveyed the whole house very carefully. The young men who did the work were professional, friendly, and careful, and the office was courteous and very helpful. After they'd done the work, the house immediately felt warmer! Thank you to all.

5 stars all the way - this is an exceptional company providing an exceptional service! From the first contact to the last, every interaction was friendly, professional, and informative. I could not ask for anything better or more! The service itself (spray foam) is an absolute game changer. I didn't expect to feel the difference so quickly, but I literally noticed just walking in the door. Everything is more comfortable and my furnace is on considerably less than it was (even in colder weather). An electrical contractor who stopped in to finish some work noticed the difference, and he had no idea we were having work done! Highly recommend, A+++! So thankful we went with AB Insulation :)

Josh was a very knowledgeable young man who answered all my questions and even explained everything in great depth. All his employees were great to work with. I was extremely pleased with the work in the basement insulation and they even cleaned up everything beautifully.

FAQ

How does AB Insulation determine pricing for insulation projects?

We assess your home's specific needs during an initial survey, considering factors like the type of insulation required, square footage, and areas needing attention such as attics, walls, or crawl spaces. Pricing reflects the materials chosen, like batt fiberglass, blown-in cellulose, or spray foam, matched to your project's goals for energy efficiency or comfort. This ensures you receive a fair, customized quote without unnecessary expenses.

Are you licensed and insured for insulation work?

AB Insulation carries full licensing and insurance as required for general contractors handling insulation in New York. Our team uses direct employees who are trained for professional installations, avoiding subcontractors to maintain consistent quality and accountability. Homeowners can verify our credentials through standard state resources before starting any project.

Does AB Insulation handle blown-in insulation and spray foam for retrofits and new builds?

We install blown-in fiberglass and cellulose for attics and hard-to-reach areas, along with spray foam for superior air sealing in walls and rim joists during retrofits or new construction. Our services also cover batt or rolled fiberglass and reflective heat barriers to suit various project types, from old houses to hillside builds. Photos of our work show insulation hoses in action and framed walls being filled precisely.

What is your typical timeline and arrival window for insulation jobs?

We schedule projects based on your home's size and complexity, with most retrofits or new build phases completing in one to three days to minimize disruption. Our team arrives within a confirmed two-hour window and communicates any adjustments upfront, keeping you informed throughout. Clear timelines start from the initial survey to ensure work aligns with your plans.

How does AB Insulation handle cleanup and leave the job site after installation?

We remove all debris, waste materials, and protective coverings, vacuuming thoroughly to leave your home clean and ready for use. In older homes, our careful approach protects existing structures while ensuring no insulation residue remains. This professional finish allows you to inspect and enjoy the improved space immediately.

Why is hiring you better than doing insulation as a DIY project?

Our detailed surveys identify areas that truly need insulation, avoiding over-application or missing spots like air leaks that DIY often overlooks. Professional tools ensure even coverage and proper R-value for your climate, preventing issues like moisture buildup or reduced performance. Trained installers handle safety risks, such as working in attics or with spray foam, delivering lasting results without the hazards of amateur attempts.
