7 months agoMy wife called way back in February for a part fix on our fireplace. Her review is further below if you want more details, but to summarize, they forgot about us. They said they would make it right and prioritize our order and install, and as you can see, it's been 4 more months and we've had 1 more phone call with them in the middle of July where they said "oh we didn't order the part because we weren't sure you still wanted it". I'm not sure if there's just poor communication between the workers, or If they genuinely don't care about their customers, but they have caused so many more problems for my family, as we now need to find a company who will replace this piece before it gets cold, which is now weeks away instead of months. At every turn we thought they would do the right thing, but it seems at every turn we were wrong. -

7 months agoThese guys really scammed me. They charged me double from what they quoted after doing services that I had not authorized and they never even sent me the inspection report. Totally disreputable

FAQ
How much does AAA Timberline charge for chimney sweeping, and do you provide free estimates?
We determine pricing based on the chimney's condition, size, and level of soot or creosote buildup after an initial inspection. Estimates are provided after we assess the flue and smoke chamber, with one recent service costing $186. This approach ensures you receive a fair quote tailored to the specific cleaning needs.
Are you licensed and insured for chimney services?
AAA Timberline carries the necessary licensing and insurance required for chimney sweeping, building inspections, and masonry work in Clarence Center, NY. Our team follows industry standards to protect your property during every job. Homeowners can verify our credentials directly through local regulatory channels for added peace of mind.
Does AAA Timberline handle chimney inspections and masonry repairs along with sweeping?
We perform comprehensive chimney sweeps that include clearing the smoke chamber and shelf, alongside building inspection services to check for deterioration. The owner conducts detailed evaluations, taking pictures inside and out to explain issues like interior damage and future risks. Our masonry contractor services address repairs needed after inspections.
What is your typical timeline for a chimney sweep appointment?
We schedule appointments year-round to keep local flues clear, especially every heating season, with the owner arriving to handle the service directly. A standard sweep starts with brushes down the flue and finishes inside, typically taking 1-2 hours depending on buildup. Expect us to confirm arrival windows in advance to fit your schedule.
How does AAA Timberline handle cleanup and debris after chimney sweeping?
We clear loosened soot and creosote from the flue, then bag all debris from the smoke chamber and shelf for complete removal. Our process leaves your home clean, with no mess left behind in the living area. Moving furniture away from the fireplace beforehand helps, but we take precautions to protect your space.
Why is your chimney sweeping method safer than trying to do it yourself?
Our professional approach uses brushes dropped down the flue to loosen soot and creosote thoroughly, followed by detailed interior cleaning that reaches areas DIY tools cannot access. Homeowners lack the equipment and training to fully remove tarry buildup or spot hidden damage, risking incomplete cleans and fire hazards. We also inspect for structural issues, providing pictures and explanations to prevent long-term problems.
