1 year agoBeware! Stay away from this business. He is shady and does not want to fix what is wrong with the job. The owner is happy as long as he's getting your money, but nasty if there's something wrong. Before the pouring of the concrete they tried to sell me a sump pump and wanted access to my breaker box without the certifications in electricity or plumbing. I told them to just replace the existing pipe with a drain as is. The real problem is the water is not directed towards the drain as I requested. I mentioned the issue as the concrete was getting poured and was told there was pitch around the drain. I have many photos to prove there is no pitch around that drain. The one photo proves more than enough. Moving forward, does this recent photo during a rain storm show there's pitch around the drain? Their solution was to drill a hole where more drainage was needed. Does it look like one 4" diameter hole would fix this? I don't think so. This entire section needs to be redone and CPI Concrete will not make good on their work. If you need something more complicated then a sidewalk or flat driveway don't go here. -

1 year agoThe team at CPI was great to work with and worked through multiple issues with both the inspector and concrete delivery for a garage pad and half the driveway. I plan on using them again to complete the other half in the spring! -

FAQ
How does concrete poured & installed - cp&i determine pricing for concrete projects like driveways or sidewalks?
We determine pricing based on project size, site preparation needs, materials required, and scope such as residential slabs or commercial parking areas. Factors like gravel base setup and formwork also influence the final bid, ensuring costs reflect the hands-on work from pouring to finishing. Homeowners receive custom quotes after assessing the specifics to fit jobs big and small.
Are you licensed and insured for concrete work in Buffalo, NY?
concrete poured & installed - cp&i carries the necessary licensing and insurance as a local general contractor handling concrete installations. This covers liability for property protection and workers' compensation for crew safety during projects. These measures ensure compliance with local standards for driveways, foundations, and other concrete work.
Does concrete poured & installed - cp&i handle stamped concrete patios and repairs for cracked slabs?
We pour and install stamped concrete patios with patterns like diamond designs, along with repairs for cracked slabs shown in project photos. Our services extend to site prep with gravel bases and formwork, smoothing fresh pours for driveways, sidewalks, and foundations. This full scope covers both new installations and fixes for residential and commercial needs.
What is your typical timeline and arrival window for a driveway replacement project?
concrete poured & installed - cp&i provides timelines based on project scale, with smaller jobs like aprons or sidewalks often completed efficiently in days and larger driveways taking longer for proper prep and curing. We schedule arrival windows clearly with homeowners and respond quickly to requests as noted in past projects. Expect our crew to handle demo, grading, pouring, and finishing in sequence to keep Buffalo-area builds on track.
What should I expect from concrete poured & installed - cp&i regarding cleanup and debris after the job?
We aim to leave your property clean, though some reviews note occasional leftover mess from concrete work that requires homeowner attention. Our crew focuses on efficient execution from site prep to finishing, but paving can sometimes cover adjacent areas like blacktop without prevention. Homeowners should discuss expectations upfront to ensure the site meets their standards post-installation.
Why is hiring you better than attempting a DIY concrete pour for my foundation or parking area?
Professional concrete work demands precise timing for mixing, placing, and finishing heavy material, which DIY often mishandles leading to cracks or instability. We use proper subgrade compaction without organic topsoil, low water-cement ratios, and control measures to prevent common issues like sloping or separation seen in amateur attempts. This expertise ensures long-term durability for slabs, unlike self-done projects that risk costly fixes.
