Do not try to move out here to build or to make your future brighter. I bought a peice of property out in Rio rancho with hopes of giving my daughter a good future. I been trying to a house built I have had so much trouble trying to get my plans processed. My first problem I had was turning my own drawn plans I tried handing them to female working in development services. She wouldn't even touch my plans with her hands acting as if I was dirty or something. Telling me I needed them professionally drawn. A half a year later and five thousand dollars later I tried again the same lady still refused to take my plans even though they were professionally drawn. Now she is telling me that they need to be sent in digitally. Which still makes no sense isn't this what they do professionally? Come to find out two years later that I can turn those but they need to be paper size. Hmmmm my most problems I have had is in the water and sewer department. There is man that works there by name of Robert Lujan this guy has not giving me any information that I have requested of him. He likes to change the goal when you trying to get things done meanwhile nothing is actually getting done. I have ask for sewer availability statement which I need for water connection. He tells me that I don't need when they have told three different things. He has even tried to get me to download a app that is known for Spyware and scammers. I have been stuck in this department for over two years now. I go to my land and they even send trucks and people in cars to watch you I your own land. This government is no good from what I can see so far. Do not invest in Rio rancho it's been nothing but trouble for me.

Please next year have a different band for the 4th of July or a dj. Non stop blues music was a mental drain... And no more mini parades! Unless you are going to have school bands or something worth watching. Too many political advertisements.. such a turn off..

FAQ

How does Rio Rancho - The Office of the Mayor determine pricing for snow removal?

Our snow removal operations on city roadways are funded through public taxes and budgeted by the city, with no direct charges to residents for these services. Pricing is not determined on a per-job basis since we prioritize 139 miles of key arterial routes based on storm intensity rather than individual requests. Residents handle their own residential streets, so no custom quotes are provided for private properties.

Are you licensed and insured for snow removal services?

We operate as a municipal public works team with all necessary governmental licensing and insurance required for city-managed snow removal on public roadways. Our crews follow established safety protocols to manage plowing on 139 miles of key routes. This setup ensures compliance with local regulations without the need for individual homeowner verifications.

What is the service scope of Rio Rancho - The Office of the Mayor for snow removal?

We focus snow removal on 139 miles of key city arterial routes to maintain safe traffic flow during storms, deploying message boards ahead of weather events. Residential streets are not plowed by our team and remain the responsibility of property owners. This prioritization keeps main roadways clear while advising residents to clear their own driveways and sidewalks.

What is your typical timeline and arrival window for snow removal?

Rio Rancho - The Office of the Mayor deploys plowing crews based on storm intensity, starting with arterial routes as soon as conditions allow safe operations. We set up message boards before events to inform drivers of delays and priorities. Expect our Public Works team to address key roadways first, with residential areas left for individual clearing since we do not schedule private visits.

What happens to snow debris after Rio Rancho - The Office of the Mayor clears the roads?

Plowed snow from arterial routes is pushed to the sides of roadways to melt naturally or be managed by stormwater drainage systems. We do not perform cleanup on residential properties or private driveways. Homeowners should plan to remove snow from their own areas to avoid refreezing issues and maintain access.

Why is your professional snow removal approach safer than DIY methods?

Our method prioritizes plowing 139 miles of high-traffic arterial routes with heavy equipment suited for large-scale storms, reducing accident risks on major roads. DIY efforts on residential streets can lead to uneven clearing or equipment strain without proper gear. Professional oversight includes pre-storm messaging for safer travel, which homeowners cannot replicate alone.
