3 months agoWorking with this guy is exhausting. He built a 150 ft cedar picket fence for me the end of May this year (2025), after several delays and me getting nervous about my 50% deposit, with many times of me having to ask when he was coming since he did not work on the date he scheduled. I also asked him to leave the extra supplies that I paid for, but he did not and simply ignored the request. After the fence was installed, I treated it with Thompson's wood sealer 3 weeks after, and I see many of the posts are bendingwarping and sections of nails missed the frame to secure the pickets. Since the pickets face my yard, I had not noticed this issue until I was treating the backside of the fence. Because the posts are bending, it pulls sections of the frame off-center, making the pickets bend and bulge. I ask him to correct these issues within his 30-day warranty window. Chad comes out and agrees to replace the wood posts with steel ones, re-nail the sections that missed the frame, and to add a steel post where he connected my fence to my neighbor's fence post. I ask for an estimate ($600) to complete this fence line with additional steel posts, so this then pushes the repair date out 3 months. After this scheduled repair date passes (Oct 29th), I ask when he is coming out to repair the fence, because he has not communicated with me. He doesn't show up for his rescheduled times and now will not respond to my emails. I have been patient and understanding of his many delays and excuses, but well, the fence still looks awful, he did not honor his own warranty agreement, and is now ignoring my requests he complete the agreed-upon work.
