2 months ago[This was our uniquely bad experience; not suggesting that your OHD experience will be similar.] We wanted to convert our old manual alley gate to solar swing gate. Seemed fairly simple however , what amounted to a three week process our end result with OHD was disappointing, infuriating, a waste of time, and on a personal level, well, it hurts to be lied to. At my request for the gate job, Company owner said for me to send photographs, as opposed to stopping by for an on site discussion of options and costs to be incurred. A reasonable offer ($3000.oo) was accepted, parts came three weeks later. On date of service (February 2026) an empathetic technician explained to me that unlike my assumptions, gate would be 90 degrees blocking the ally and obviously not going to work for our unique setting. OHD Owner was called by Tech and he came to site, apologized for misunderstanding, offered a sliding gate for same price, installation following day. Got word next morning new parts collected and all set. The following morning Job Site personnel confirmed on the way...prior to their arrival however, OHD Owner called me to say unapologetically that despite anything he and Staff had clearly told me, proposed and priced sliding gate would NOW be an additional $1200.oo...Total for one swing out gate would now be $4,200.00. Job canceled by me immediately. Refund for downpayment of $1600.00 posted two weeks later. Though OHD was highly recommended to me by the owner of Sunny Fence Company who actually visited us to see what we needed, I can not recommend OHD. -

2 months agoWe had our house under contract for sale and naturally our existing garage door opener failed. Overhead people were able to accommodate with a brand new one installed within two days ! The new one is their brand and it's quiet. Very happy. -
