We subcontracted the Northridge Electric Service Dept. on one of our projects where another electrician was dragging their feet. The customer was very unhappy with the lack of progress and it was reflecting badly on us. Having worked with Northridge in the past I knew what a great group of guys worked in their service department. I had complete confidence that they could complete the work in a timely and professional manner and they did not disappoint. I received a call from my customer and they were extremely pleased with the treatment they received. This is the direct quote from the customer; "On a scale of 1 to 10, he was a 15". Thank you Jason and Aaron for helping us out.

Northridge Electric was a horror story for our condos. Their young electrician, wet behind the ears, came out numerous times to fix an outside light attached to the stucco that was not lit. His solution was to run conduit on the outside of the stucco to the light. It looked horrible as you can imagine. At this writing I am working to have another electrician assess the situation and hopefully do it right, which would include removing the exterior conduit. This is at our condos by the way. At one point the guy swapped out a photocell. If it was the photocell, the entire building as well as a neighboring building's lights would be out, which they were not. Naturally, swapping the photocell did nothing, except increase our bill. If you are thinking of using these guys, good luck!

FAQ

How does Northridge Electric Inc determine pricing for electrical repairs?

We provide detailed estimates that break down the scope of work, labor, materials, and timeline before any job begins. Our pricing is transparent so you know exactly what to expect with no surprises. We assess the extent of your electrical problem on-site, then explain how we'll fix it, how long it will take, and what it will cost. If you're comparing quotes, a detailed estimate shows professionalism and helps you make an informed decision about your repair.

Are you licensed and insured?

Northridge Electric Inc maintains the proper licensing and insurance required to perform electrical work safely and legally. Verifying your electrician's credentials protects you from liability and ensures the work meets code requirements. Before hiring any electrical contractor, always ask to see proof of current licensing and insurance coverage. This is one of the most important steps in protecting your home and investment.

What types of electrical issues does Northridge Electric Inc handle?

We troubleshoot and repair wiring, fixtures, and lighting issues on both residential and commercial properties. Our team diagnoses problems on-site and completes repairs to get your electrical systems running smoothly. Whether you're dealing with flickering lights, outlet problems, circuit breaker issues, or lighting that won't work, we handle the diagnostic work and repairs needed to restore function. We also step in when other contractors have stalled progress on your project.

How quickly can you schedule a service call?

Northridge Electric Inc works to accommodate your schedule and get to problems promptly. When you contact us, we'll discuss your availability and the urgency of your electrical issue to find a time that works for you. Emergency electrical problems should be addressed as soon as possible to prevent safety hazards, so let us know if your situation is urgent. Clear communication about timing helps us plan the work and manage your expectations.

What should I expect Northridge Electric Inc to do before leaving my home?

We ensure your electrical systems are functioning properly and safe before we finish the job. Our team cleans up after the work and leaves your home in good condition. We take pride in completing repairs thoroughly so you don't have ongoing issues after we leave. If you have questions about the work we've done or how to maintain your electrical systems, we're happy to explain everything.

Why should I hire a professional electrician instead of trying to fix electrical problems myself?

Electrical work involves serious safety risks including electrocution and fire hazards that require specialized training and tools to manage properly. Professional electricians have the expertise to diagnose problems accurately and ensure repairs meet electrical codes and safety standards. DIY electrical work can void warranties on equipment and create liability issues if something goes wrong. Hiring a trained electrician ensures the job is done right the first time and protects your family and home.
