I hired Dennis to retrofit my home I recently purchased, using the alumiconn connectors. Home had aluminum wiring & Federal Pacific panel box, he repaired and also changed all my outlets and switches. I found out panel box is a defective panel box. There are other fixes he did also to make home safe leaving an efficient electrical system. I highly recommend him for all electrical repairs especially if you have an older home like mine that needed upgrading. He finished on time and was a pleasant & trusting person. Excellent work Dennis!

FAQ

Does Certified Electrician Albuquerque NM offer free estimates for electrical work like replacing Federal Pacific panel boxes?

We provide free estimates after an initial inspection of your electrical system to assess needs such as replacing outdated Federal Pacific panel boxes or addressing aluminum wiring. Pricing depends on the scope, including parts like Alumiconn connectors, labor for retrofits, and any required permits. This ensures you receive a detailed, transparent quote tailored to your home's specific requirements.

Are you licensed and insured for electrical services in Albuquerque?

Certified Electrician Albuquerque NM holds all necessary licensing and insurance required for electrical work in Albuquerque, NM, covering home retrofits, panel replacements, and inspections. Our reputation stems from successfully upgrading numerous homes with issues like aluminum wiring and Federal Pacific panels, as confirmed through completed projects. Homeowners can verify our credentials through local licensing boards for added assurance.

Can Certified Electrician Albuquerque NM handle aluminum wiring retrofits using Alumiconn connectors and Federal Pacific panel replacements?

We specialize in retrofitting homes with aluminum wiring using Alumiconn connectors to create secure, long-lasting connections that prevent hazards like overheating. Our process also includes replacing outdated Federal Pacific panel boxes, outlets, and switches to meet modern safety standards. These upgrades ensure your electrical system is reliable and compliant, reducing fire risks associated with older components.

What is your typical timeline and arrival window for scheduling electrical retrofit jobs?

We schedule jobs within a few days of your estimate approval, aiming to complete most home retrofits like panel replacements in one full day. Our arrival window is a precise two-hour block, and we always call 30 minutes prior to confirm. This approach minimizes disruption while allowing coordination with your routine.

How does Certified Electrician Albuquerque NM handle cleanup and debris after electrical panel installations?

We remove all old wiring, breakers, outlets, and packaging materials from Federal Pacific panel replacements and aluminum wiring retrofits. The work area, including around outdoor meter panels and interior breaker boxes, is thoroughly cleaned before we leave, leaving your home neat and dust-free. This standard practice protects your property and floors during the entire process.

Why is hiring you for electrical retrofits safer than attempting DIY fixes on aluminum wiring or old panels?

Professional methods use approved tools and Alumiconn connectors for aluminum wiring, avoiding loose wirenuts or exposed connections that can cause arcing and fires in DIY attempts. We replace Federal Pacific panels entirely, as their breakers often fail to trip during overloads, a defect confirmed in safety tests where over 25% malfunctioned. Our inspections ensure labeled circuits and code-compliant installations, preventing hazards that untrained work overlooks.
