P&S Handyman Services offers a 15% discount to disabled and senior citizens. I am a 73 year old 100% disabled veteran of the Vietnam War and he refused to give us any discount. When Mike was talking about what he would do on our project he said one thing and then only wrote three things down on the order agreement. He charged us for the things he told us he would do but were not on the work order. We were told the project would take 3 (maybe 4) days but ended up taking almost two weeks. We had to cancel our Memorial Day plans because the project took up more than triple the time estimated. Mike did NOT do a final walkthrough! He only showed up once and that was to sell us on using him as our contractor and get the work order signed. The only worker who showed up (Doc) had a lot of personal issues to take care of so he would arrive around 1pm, work for a couple of hours, and then leave. We were told that there would be two workers. We assumed it would be Mike and his father, but we never had more than one worker (Doc). We had the following problems when the work was finished: * The shower head was incorrectly installed. It was supposed to be installed about 6 - 9" above the shower wall insert but Doc drilled a hole in the shower wall insert. o We are going to have a plumber come in and raise the shower pipe and reinstall the shower head o We are going to have to replace the entire shower wall * The shower walls were not caulked * A big bump in the middle of the bathroom under the flooring they installed o We are going to have to have the floor replaced * He cracked the bathroom wall plug. We will have to have an electrician replace the wall plug * Doc put molding on the bottom of the bathroom cabinet across the bottom drawer preventing our being able to open the drawer. This is not something we asked for. * Doc did not apply grout in the bathroom tiles he reinstalled. * The shower doors were an inferior product (cheap) * Doc left cigarette butts all over the back yard. He would also smoke in the garage and after a couple of puffs set the cigarette down and walk off forgetting it and letting it burn out on its own. * Doc left sharp screws and bolts in driveway * Doc turned on the heat in bathroom and laundry room. We don't know why. * The tile work was sloppy * Doc chipped the bottom of the closet door * When he mopped the bathroom floor, he sloshed water on the wooden cabinet resulting in water damage * Doc started laying the vinyl flooring (wood grain) and then changed the direction of the grain. We told him we wanted the flooring to go from the dining room through the kitchen, utility room, and ending up in the bathroom. He never used a chalk line. He said it was too great an effort to lay it that way and he didn't think it would look that good because the flooring would be wavy so he changed the direction of the flooring by 180 degrees. He got angry when we pointed the mistake out to him. * He broke off a piece of tile when installing the flooring * Doc left some of the sheetrock bare (he did not add the coating) * Doc had the new shower insert almost finished and then he realized that the side wall did not meet the 2"x4' so he told me he would have to insert an additional 2"x4'. So he had to remove the shower wall and add the new piece of wood. He could have saved time by measuring first. * Doc didn't bring a trowel that he needed (with small groves) so he asked for $15 from us to get a new trowel. Then he made a new trowel from an old trowel he had. I had to ask him for the $15 back. * When he wanted a soft drink, he just went into our refrigerator and helped himself. * He requested that my wife make him a pot of coffee one morning. * I had to tell him to turn down his music because we couldn't hear TV from 2 rooms away. * The flooring we selected is supposed to be 'free floating' but Doc glued it down. It will be a major effort if we ever want to change it. * Doc also brought a huge python to our home every day. He left it in his automobile but we still did not feel comfortable letting our pets outside while he was here because he left the doors to the vehicle open. * Doc left a 1 1/2" gap between the bathroom flooring and the utility room flooring showing bare wood. No threshold was installed. * Doc did not remove the garbage he created during the project. Mike said that he would get the bathroom flooring from Lumber Liquidators. We selected the flooring we wanted and sent an email to Mike with that information but when Doc showed up he said we needed to get the flooring from Lowes. But this was only AFTER a lot of the removal effort was completed. Doc said he had never installed a new shower stall before, but only after he had demoed the shower (tore out the old shower tiles). Doc's truck needed water so he asked if he could use one of our 5-gallon gas containers to put water in and take it to his home. He knew he had a problem. Why didn't he bring his own container.

Does Premier Handyman Services handle bathroom remodeling and stair installations?

We manage bathroom remodels including tiled showers with built-in benches and full renovations. Our services also cover stair treads, risers, railings, and exterior stairs. These projects draw on our experience as bathroom remodelers, carpenters, and handymen to deliver functional upgrades.

What should I expect for arrival times and project timelines?

We arrive on time within agreed windows and communicate any changes promptly. Timelines depend on job size, with small tasks like furniture assembly completed in hours and remodels spanning days to weeks. Clear scheduling upfront sets realistic expectations for your kitchen or basement project.

How does Premier Handyman Services handle cleanup and debris after a job?
