1 year agoWe hired Floyd Morrison/ Pro Handy Fixer/Handyman Masters LLC. I asked for an actual written copy of the bid eight times. He did not return texts or phone calls. He would say he would be here at a certain time and be hours late or not show up at all. He asked for $1,000 up front and then a week later ask for almost another $1,000. He only provided two receipts and also told us that he wanted to provide good service for a lesser amount. We found out we were paying him $75/hr for travel time and he only had to travel 2 miles each way and had only made three trips. He also charged shopping time and claimed he shopped six hours. We have a receipt he gave us and he had been shopping for himself as well. He fired his employee who was working because of jealousy. He was not paying his employee and hadnâ  t paid him for two months. We fired him because of those reasons. He is not registered with the state as a contractor, is not registered with the electrical or plumbing boards, is registered with the city as of 2022 but has never pulled a permit. He also claimed to be a paralegal and said heâ  s put a lien on our house for â  not payingâ  the rest of what we owe him. He has sent a couple of hostile and threatening messages. We have evidence of all of this. -

2 years agoStarted pretty good first week then through the next one year plus his other jobs took pressident over mine. When he showed up he was late. Occasionally he would make good progress but that got rarer and rarer over time. I know at least three workers quit him over the way he treated them and his business practices. They would be mistakes made like installing the aluminum railing wrong and replacing it and I am sure I ended up paying for these mistakes. Since he never provided me with invoices, labor hours and the like I can only assume I got screwed on theses things. It took him three tries to install the gas line to the deck, when he did this he disconnected the line to kitchen for a gas on at the meter tried to start my grill and smelled gas, it was coming from my egress window where the open gas line was. Luckily I stopped trying before I blew up my house. He scab patched his mistakes on thte trim and they look worrse with age. One of his workers cut a board on top of the deck floor and gouged it he said he would fix it, he did not. They broke the handle on my outside faucet and did not replace it. They tpoured a too small poor finish stoop at the botton of the stairs. It took him several tries to put the finish on the deck surface and it is almost gone after less than a year. He told me it was my fault because I selected wood instead of composite. Then told me to go tell Menards my problems. There several times we wanted to shut the project down and start over, it was just miserable for me to deal with. -
