8 months agoGarden City Recycling is awesome, we switched to them from Republic a couple of years ago and have never looked back. It's a bit more effort to sort your recycling, but it seems likely more of it ends up in a reuse stream than the giant bin of questionably recyclable mixed stuff that we used to send fill weekly. GCR is communicative about what you can recycle and how, any changes to pick up days (holidays), and they take cardboard outside the bins if you have a lot! They also show up when they say they will! -

8 months agoThe Garden City Recycling people are great. On time, not messy, leave things they can't recycle in the container, not on the ground. When contacted for instructions, they respond politely, accurately, and promptly. What more could you want--except I'd like to give 10 stars. -

8 months agoI'm a longtime, pathological recycler. GCR is a great recycling service. The every other week pickup serves us well. I wish we could recycle more plastics here in the US like they do in Canada but at least I can recycle most of what we use. Between this service and composting, our garbage production is minimal. Highly recommend GCR. -

9 months agoGCR has been our preferred recycling provider for many years and has permanently changed our relationship with waste. Before 2021, we would fill a large Republic bin every week with mixed trash and recycling. Since then, we've gone down to the small bin (which gets a single trash bag each week) and are able to recycle everything else. They're one of the few places in Missoula that take plastics, although I wish they took glass and understand why they don't. I use Missoula Recycling Works for monthly glass pickup. I'll happily continue doing business with GCR for years to come - I couldn't see myself going back to throwing away paper, cardboard, and metal.
