1 month agoUsed Cardinal Contractors after they door knocked us chasing roofs. I like to support people who work hard and door knocking sucks... We had a pretty seamless instillation besides a guy falling through our dining room and it took them 2 months to fix the hole in our ceiling. Wife didn't like having a hole in the ceiling for 2 months.... But I can get over that. A year later we got a good amount of snow (Thanksgiving 2025). Came home to our dining room ceiling sunken and discolored with tons of water damage... Called cardinal contractors and spoke to Madison who is great. They sent someone out to look at the roof to fix it. After a 5 min look at the roof they concluded that the instillation was done properly and due to the "PITCH" of my roof, they are not at fault. I continued to call and requested to speak to Madison's manager. Still nothing from that coward of a manager. She just tells Madison to make her calls for her... Well, finally I got the manager to tell Madison they were going to fix the roof and the inside ceiling... I am like "fantastic, about time." well what do you know, 2 weeks later I get a call from Madison, her manager changed her mind again and said it isn't their fault and nothing they can do. I requested a call back from that cowardly manager again. We will see if she calls. Will not recommend this company ever again. But I do recommend Madison find a better company to work for. Poor girl. DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! -

1 month agoI agreed to work with this company believing it would be a positive experience and that I would even be an advertisement for them. Instead, it turned into a nightmare. I later learned this company has done the same thing to multiple people and now tries to blame the situation on "miscommunication" by an employee. They caused damage to my home and took my entire insurance check, which was supposed to cover multiple repairs. I trusted their employee who assured me they would help handle everything. When issues came up, they did not allow time to resolve discrepancies and instead served me paperwork from their attorney, threatening legal action. They promised to help get additional items covered but walked away and left me to handle everything on my own. Very disappointing and unprofessional experience. -

3 months ago5 Stars. Cardinal contractors is such a breath of fresh air from the rip off lazy contractors here in Illinois. Stephen in particular is one of the hardest working people I've ever met! While I may have a small house, my roof was tore off and replaced in one day! Great crew, cleaned up after themselves, highly recommended. -

3 months agoPaul Birkhead is and has been a great liaison between ourselves and his company Cardinal Contractors LLC. He has worked to resolve any questions/issues we have had and worked with getting us in contact with a short term zero interest loan. He worked with us to choose our shingle color, we have an older brick home that is not a yellow brick but more a sand brick. Cardinal Contractors LLC got our roof off and on in 1 day and found and replaced bad water damaged rotted decking. We did not have a leak yet but would not have made it through a wet season as Paul advised prior to the roof being removed as he has been doing roofs for several years. Our insurance replaced the entire roof after Paul inspected it first and said it had extensive hail damage everywhere and our insurance examiner agreed. Thanks to Cardinal Contractors LLC and Paul we have prevented interior water damage. Luke the project manager replaced the damaged roof deck and also added a longer gutter skirt as ours left a gap between the gutter and roof. With Paul as your contact along with Cardinal Contractors you are in good hands. IF an issue comes up, and things do from time to time, Paul will see it through.
