5 months agoDarren, owner of Chimney Cricket did a wonderful job of cleaning our chimney. Very professional and prompt service. Darren helped install our stove a few years ago when he was working for John McKinney Sr. at Dr. Flu Chimney Service. He also came out for Dr. Flue to repair our stove once when we had an issue with it last year and has cleaned our chimney a couple of times now. I was sad to hear that John McKinney, Sr. from Dr. Flu had passed away in the spring but I'm grateful that Darren is still delivering the same great service as always. -

1 year agoChimney Crickets Cleaning Service absolutely hit it out of the park. From start to finish, their team was quick, professional, and impressively knowledgeable. What truly set them apart, though, was their genuine care and attentiveness. It's rare-truly rare-to come across a company that puts the customer's best interest first, but Chimney Crickets does exactly that. They didn't just rush through the job; they took the time to explain what they were doing, offered insights, and even taught me a few things I never would've known otherwise. Their transparency and willingness to share their expertise was refreshing and reassuring. It's clear they take pride in their work and value building trust just as much as delivering top-tier service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone-this is how service should be done. -

1 year agoI'm very happy with Chimney Cricket! Darren has thoroughly cleaned our wood stove for the past four years. I was so pleased with his work that I recommended him to our daughter with great results. Recently he capped a chimney then caulked and siliconed it for us. He does superior work for a reasonable price.

FAQ
How does Chimney Cricket Cleaning Service determine pricing for chimney sweeps and repairs?
We base pricing on the specific job scope, such as the level of creosote buildup, chimney condition, and any repairs like leak fixes or liner installations needed. Custom quotes come from an initial assessment to ensure you only pay for necessary work, often saving on larger future fixes by addressing issues early. Free estimates are provided upfront to give you clear expectations before committing.
Are you licensed and insured for chimney services?
Chimney Cricket Cleaning Service carries full licensing and insurance to protect your home during sweeps, wood stove cleanings, and installations. Darrin and Crystal apply their extensive hands-on experience to every task, earning repeat customers through consistent quality and trustworthiness. This setup ensures safe, professional handling of all chimney work without risks to you.
Does Chimney Cricket Cleaning Service handle wood stove cleanings, leak repairs, liner installations, and cap sealing?
We perform thorough chimney sweeps, wood stove cleanings, leak repairs, liner installations, and cap sealing to restore safe fireplace operation. These services tackle issues like sooty flues, water leaks into the home, and outdated chimneys needing liners for efficiency. Addressing these prevents bigger problems and keeps your system firing correctly.
What is your typical timeline for chimney cleaning jobs?
We complete most chimney sweeps and basic cleanings within an hour, depending on buildup and any inspections needed. Larger tasks like liner installations or leak repairs take additional time based on the chimney's condition, with clear communication on your scheduled arrival window. Efficiency comes from our focused approach, getting you back to using your fireplace quickly.
What does Chimney Cricket Cleaning Service do with debris and how do you leave the work area?
We remove all soot, creosote, and debris from the chimney, firebox, and surrounding areas using specialized vacuums and tools. Your home stays clean as we cover floors and tidy up completely after each job. This leaves your fireplace ready for safe use without any mess indoors.
Why is hiring you safer and better than attempting a DIY chimney clean?
Our professional tools and techniques reach the full chimney system-including flue, smoke chamber, and damper-to remove creosote and blockages that DIY brushes can't access effectively. Darrin and Crystal spot hidden issues like structural damage or leaks during the process, preventing fires or water intrusion that amateurs often miss. This thorough method ensures long-term safety without the hazards of climbing roofs or incomplete cleaning.
