11 years ago. Joe and his team did a great job. I appreciated them helping to move the big furniture items out of the space and put it back upon completion of installation. The flooring looks great! In addition, the guys cleaned up the dust and materials each day. -

12 years agoJoe Milner Carpets is really reasonable and does a really good job. He installed carpeting and flooring for us several times. He did a bedroom, and then the staircase in our basement and the basement floating floor. We compared the price with other companies, and it was comparable with them. -

13 years agoWent great. The carpet tiles changed the look of the basement and added versatility to the room. Less than 3 months later, it helped sell our house! -

13 years agoHaving gotten what I considered a high estimate from a large home-improvement store, I located Joe Milner Carpets on Angie's List. It took a while for Joe to get back to me, but once he did, he showed up to measure, show samples, and estimate the job. He was informal, which suited me for a job this size. His two workers showed up as agreed the next week and were done with the whole job in a morning. Carpet looks nice and we have no complaints. His price was very reasonable compared with the large chain. -

FAQ
Does Joe Milner Carpets, Inc. offer free estimates, and how do you determine carpet installation pricing?
We provide custom quotes based on the specifics of each carpet or flooring project rather than flat pricing. Our pricing takes into account the size of the area, the type of carpet or flooring you choose, and the amount of preparation work needed, such as removing old flooring and prepping the surface. If furniture moving is involved, that can also affect the overall cost. We discuss these factors with you up front so you understand what is included before any work begins.
Are you licensed and insured for carpet and flooring installation work?
We operate as a professional carpet and flooring contractor in Saint Charles, MO, and carry the appropriate licensing and insurance required for this type of work in our area. This protects both you and our team while we are removing old flooring, prepping surfaces, and installing new carpet. Working with an insured flooring contractor helps ensure that any accidental damage or on-site issues are properly covered. We are glad to answer questions about our credentials before you schedule an installation.
What types of projects can Joe Milner Carpets, Inc. handle, such as stairs, basements, and commercial spaces?
We handle carpet and flooring installation for both homes and businesses, from single bedrooms to basements and office areas. Our work includes measuring, cutting, and installing carpet on flat rooms, staircases, and other common residential and commercial spaces. We also remove existing flooring and prepare the subfloor so the new carpet or flooring has a clean, stable surface. If you have a specific area in mind, we can explain how we would approach that space during an estimate.
How far in advance should I schedule, and what should I expect on installation day with your team?
Joe Milner Carpets, Inc. schedules projects based on the size of the job and current workload, so it is helpful to contact us as early as possible to secure your preferred dates. On installation day, our team arrives with the materials and tools needed to measure, cut, and install your carpet or flooring. We can help move large furniture items out of the work area and put them back when the installation is complete, as discussed ahead of time. The length of the job depends on the rooms and complexity, and we outline the expected timeline before we start.
What kind of cleanup and old flooring removal does Joe Milner Carpets, Inc. include with installation?
We take care of removing the old flooring as part of our installation work so the new carpet or flooring can be installed on a properly prepared surface. Our team handles trimming, fitting, and finishing the edges, then collects and removes installation scraps from the work area. We aim to leave the space swept and free of carpet debris so you can begin using the room soon after the job is done. If special disposal arrangements are needed for large amounts of old material, we discuss that with you before the project starts.
Why should I hire your team for carpet installation instead of trying to do it myself?
We bring professional carpet measuring, cutting, and installation skills that help avoid common DIY issues like wrinkles, poor seams, or loose edges. Our experience with removing old flooring and prepping subfloors means the new carpet is installed on a clean, level base, which supports better appearance and durability. Using the right tools and techniques, we can create clean finishes around walls, stairs, and transitions that are difficult to achieve without training. This saves you time and reduces the risk of having to redo sections or replace material due to mistakes.
