7 months agoRecently Eric Schmidt, Amped Electric, completed work in our home. Eric quickly responded to our request for an onsite review, later electronically submitting a detailed bid sheet, allowing easy online response capabilities. The project, including indoor and outdoor needs, was completed in one full workday, including replacing multiple florescent fixtures, adding an outlet in the master bathroom, repairing 2 fixtures + two outlet devices. Eric worked quietly and efficiently, leaving each worksite respectfully clean. Eric's pricing was budget friendly, as was his customer service approach ensuring our needs were satisfied. My self-question afterward was "why I'd waited to begin this project?" His skilled experience literally brightened our household! Janet K -

FAQ
How does Amped Electric determine pricing for EV charger installations and other electrical work?
We price each project based on the scope of work, the condition and capacity of your existing electrical system, and the materials required to complete the job safely. EV charger installations can range from straightforward panel connections to more involved upgrades if your home needs additional electrical capacity. We provide clear, itemized bids so you can see exactly what is included before any work begins. For most jobs, we start with a site visit or detailed review of your setup so our quote reflects real conditions in your home.
Are you licensed and insured for electrical and EV charger work?
Amped Electric performs electrical work using proper licensing and insurance appropriate for professional electricians. We focus on EV charger installations and residential electrical projects that must meet current electrical codes and safety standards. Our training and credentials allow us to work on service panels, branch circuits, and high-amperage EV charging equipment safely. When we upgrade or modify your system, we do so with permitting and inspection requirements in mind for your area.
Does Amped Electric handle both EV charger installations and general electrical projects like lighting and panel work?
We specialize in EV charger installations, including high-amp home charging stations and fast-charging setups that require panel work or dedicated circuits. In addition to EV charging, we handle a wide range of residential electrical tasks, such as installing new lighting, wiring during construction or remodels, and working on electrical panels and disconnects. Our team is comfortable with both simple fixture swaps and more complex rough-in wiring or panel upgrades. If a project involves your home's wiring, circuits, or electrical capacity, we can usually help plan and complete it.
What should I expect on the day of my electrical or EV charger installation with your team?
Amped Electric schedules appointments with a clear arrival window and confirms what work will be done before we show up. On site, we start by walking through the plan with you, verifying locations for chargers, panels, or fixtures, and confirming any panel shut-offs needed. We work efficiently to minimize how long your power is disrupted, especially when we are upgrading panels or adding new circuits. Before we leave, we test the equipment with you-such as verifying your EV charges properly or new lighting operates as expected-so you know everything is working correctly.
How does Amped Electric handle cleanup and any debris after an electrical job?
We treat cleanup as part of the job, not an extra. During work, we keep tools, wire scraps, and packaging contained so they do not spread through your home. When the installation or repair is finished, we remove leftover materials, collect wire cuttings, and wipe down the immediate work area so surfaces are clear. For panel work, rough-ins, or ceiling fixture installations, we make sure access points are closed up and your space is left ready to use, with no exposed wiring or loose components.
Why is it safer to have you install my EV charger or wiring instead of doing it myself?
We work with high-amperage circuits and service panels every day, so we understand how to size wiring, breakers, and equipment correctly for EV chargers and other loads. DIY electrical work can lead to hidden problems like overheating conductors, undersized breakers, or loose connections that only show up later as tripped circuits or damage. Our installations follow electrical code requirements and are laid out cleanly, which makes future troubleshooting and upgrades much easier. By having us handle the installation, you reduce the risk of shocks, fire hazards, and costly rework if something is wired incorrectly.
