8 years agoWill never do business with this company again. The owner was extremely condensing, rude, and arrogant. The technician has always been professional and kind. If I owned a business I would never treat a customer this way. This is only related to the above yearly inspection of my units. Also I must admit that my plumber referred me to this business years ago without telling me things had changed in mgmt or ownership. I am thoroughly upset. I'm an educated single mom and was completely berated by the owner...while discussing another matter which was a life/saftey issue he made me aware of. This was unrelated to the yearly inspection but led me to further distrust the owner even more. I'm pretty wise when selecting contractors, but this is the worse open ever. -

FAQ
Does Absolute Mechanical Systems offer free estimates for HVAC services?
We provide free, detailed estimates for all HVAC projects, including central air conditioning, heat pumps, and duct cleaning. These estimates break down labor, parts, and any necessary permits to give you a clear picture of costs upfront. This approach helps you understand the full scope without hidden fees.
Are you licensed and insured for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work?
Absolute Mechanical Systems holds all required licenses as an HVAC contractor, electrician, gasfitter, and plumber to meet local standards in Kansas City. We carry general liability insurance and workers' compensation to protect your property and our team during installations like American Standard air conditioning units or commercial ductwork. You can request proof of these credentials before we start any job.
Does Absolute Mechanical Systems handle duct cleaning and commercial HVAC installations?
We manage duct cleaning for improved indoor air quality along with commercial HVAC ductwork installations on ceilings and residential cooling systems. Our services extend to sheet metal fabrication for custom duct solutions and heat pump setups. These tasks ensure energy-efficient airflow and system performance tailored to your home or business needs.
What is your typical timeline and arrival window for HVAC installations?
We schedule installations with a clear timeline from estimate to completion, typically spanning a few days for residential systems and longer for commercial projects like ductwork. Our team arrives within a two-hour window on the agreed date, coordinating ahead to fit your availability. This process includes pre-arrival confirmation to minimize wait times.
Does Absolute Mechanical Systems clean up after HVAC service and handle debris?
We remove all debris, old parts, and packaging from installations such as water heaters or air conditioning units, leaving your space clean and tidy. Our technicians use drop cloths and shoe covers to protect floors and furnishings during the work. You can expect your home returned to its original condition, ready for immediate use.
Why is hiring you safer and better than attempting HVAC repairs as a DIY project?
Professional handling prevents risks like improper refrigerant management, which requires EPA certification, or electrical hazards in heat pump and water heater systems. We follow industry standards for duct inspections, airflow testing, and code-compliant installations to avoid inefficiencies or safety issues common in DIY efforts. This ensures long-term reliability and energy savings without voiding manufacturer warranties.
