1 year agoInitial scope of work was to help deep clean my basement. During renovations we discovered a mouse infestation, and the joist/walls were filled with mice droppings. Mike said that they could clean everything, spray for mold, and clean the joist. After the first visit, almost no improvement was made to the joist. They were caked with mouse droppings. I can understand that this was a difficult job, and I told them that I would pay for the work they had completed, and gave them a chance to walk away if they didn't think they could actually clean the joist. After the second visit, they tried to scrub the joist but it made minimal improvements, and they only attempted to clean a few of the joist and then gave up. Multiple joist were left untouched. The man on site showed me what he tried, and I said I would talk to Mike. The invoice for the work was just under 2k, and with the vacuuming/deep cleaning I thought they got close to finishing the job, and I paid. I figured it was potentially my fault if there was a misunderstanding about getting mice droppings off the joist, and thought since they sprayed and vacuumed that I could do the rest, however disappointing the expectations were. After looking more, I realized they completely skipped multiple areas for vacuuming, and I still have mice droppings all over the walls, loose rocks, and acorns brought in by mice. Literally every spot on top of the rock foundation was skipped, and the egress window sills were skipped. I let Mike know of this, and that his crew left a mess, unplugged my dehumidifier hose (which leaked all over the basement), and he never replied. Mike stopped replying two weeks ago, and I essentially paid $1.9k for them to spray anti-microbial in the basement, leaving me with the exact same initial issue which I hired them to remedy.
