3 months agoI was without heat on one of the coldest day of the year. I felt like they charge me for every little thing: service call, a used part( found later for new that was cheaper), the time for the tec to go get the part from their shop, 4% service charge for the use of my card, etc. I used Avery before and they give no discount for this service. -

FAQ
How does Avery Heating and Cooling determine pricing for HVAC repairs and installations?
We provide clear breakdowns of costs and parts for every job, including service calls, labor, and materials. Our quotes itemize what is included so you understand the total before work begins. This approach helps avoid surprises by detailing expenses upfront.
Are you licensed and insured for HVAC work?
Avery Heating and Cooling carries the necessary licensing, bonding, and insurance required for HVAC services in Independence, MO. We maintain general liability and workers' compensation coverage to protect your property and our team during repairs, duct cleaning, or installations. Proof of these is available upon request to confirm compliance with local standards.
Does Avery Heating and Cooling handle duct cleaning, humidifier installations, and mini-split systems?
We perform duct cleaning to improve airflow and air quality in homes. Our team installs whole-home humidifiers along with furnace and ductwork systems for balanced indoor comfort. We also handle mini-split air conditioning units, both indoor and outdoor components, as shown in our completed residential projects.
What should I expect for arrival times and scheduling with you?
We arrive promptly within agreed windows, even during peak seasons or emergencies like the coldest days. Our team schedules jobs with clear timelines and keeps you informed on any changes. Technicians show up prepared to diagnose and address your HVAC needs efficiently.
How does Avery Heating and Cooling handle cleanup after HVAC service or installation?
We leave your home clean by removing all debris, old parts, and packaging from repairs, duct cleaning, or installations. Our technicians use protective measures like drop cloths to minimize mess during the process. You can expect the work area to be tidied up before we leave, ensuring no waste remains behind.
Why is hiring you for HVAC work safer and better than attempting DIY repairs?
Our professional approach includes detailed inspections of ductwork, airflow, and components to ensure safe, efficient operation that DIY often misses. We follow proper installation standards for refrigerant handling, electrical connections, and system testing, reducing risks like leaks or failures. This expertise prevents common errors that can lead to higher energy bills, equipment damage, or safety hazards in your home.
