We needed an outlet installed for a new oven, our old one had been hard wired in. They gave us a quote, which is an ESTIMATE of the work and materials, not the ACTUAL work done and materials, and charged us that exact amount once it was done, giving us the most general invoice I have ever seen (no description of the work, no charge per hour, no trip fee like they mentioned, just a solid $450). $175/hr for service and trip fee is fine, but he left my house in the middle if the work, so he wasnt even there for a full hour, and then they connected the current wiring from our hardwired stove directly to the outlet box (no new wires added), and drilled it into our wall-- it's not even installed directly behind the wall, and then charged us $300 for the outlet box itself. The tech seemed to know the work, but he could barely speak english, so I didnt want to be rude and just paid him the full amount. We got screwed on that one. Would not recommend.

I needed some electrical work done in order to finish off my lower level basement. I explained what I was looking for and asked for guidance of any other electrical ideas to enhance my basement. I was pleasantly surprised at the great level of knowledge, creative ideas, and kind approach that Allied Electric of Minnesota provided me. I know that I was on a tight budget and time line and after explaining it to me, I received a qoute the next day. I also had bid out the project to several other electricians as well. I was surprised to see how competitive their bid was! So, I decided to go with Allied Electric of Minnesota and I was so glad that I did. Not only did I save some nice money by choosing them, but I also received prompt and excellent services. I really enjoyed working with them as they have such a great attitude about their job. I will call them up again when I need any electrical projects or fixes in my house.

FAQ

Does Allied Electric Company of Minnesota provide free estimates for electrical work?

We provide transparent estimates upfront that outline the expected work and materials. These estimates help you understand costs before any work begins, though the final bill reflects the actual labor and parts used. This approach ensures no surprises and allows you to plan accordingly.

Are you licensed and insured for electrical services?

Allied Electric Company of Minnesota holds the necessary licensing and insurance required for residential and commercial electrical work in the area. We prioritize compliance with local codes to protect both our team and your property during installations and repairs. Homeowners can verify our credentials through standard industry channels for added peace of mind.

Does Allied Electric Company of Minnesota handle outlet installations and basement wiring?

We install outlets, such as for appliances like ovens, and handle basement wiring to support finishing lower levels. Our services extend to both residential projects like these and commercial tasks including lighting design and panel setups. These capabilities cover a range of needs from basic additions to more complex enhancements.

What is your typical timeline for scheduling and completing electrical jobs?

We respond quickly to inquiries and often perform requested work the next day when possible. Arrival windows are communicated clearly to fit your schedule, with adjustments made for urgent needs like breaker repairs. Completion times depend on project scope, but we aim for efficiency without compromising quality.

Does Allied Electric Company of Minnesota clean up after electrical installations?

We leave your space clean and tidy after completing outlet installations, wiring, or lighting projects. Any debris from cutting conduits or mounting components gets removed before we depart. This ensures your home or business returns to normal use right away, minimizing disruption.

Why is hiring you safer than doing electrical work as a DIY project?

Professional electricians follow electrical codes to prevent hazards like shocks, fires, or code violations that DIY efforts often overlook. We use proper tools and techniques for tasks like breaker repairs or ceiling wiring, reducing risks to your property and family. Homeowners avoid potential costly mistakes by letting experts handle voltage and structural integrations safely.
