6 months agoIt appears they do way more than just cut down trees. They offer wood chips, plant trees, and brush dumping which is what I did. I have not used them as a tree service and this review is ONLY my experience with brush dumping. There is currently construction preventing easy access to their location (no fault of their own), so finding them was quite a challenge. I drove around not trusting the GPS, finally found them. I do believe the new road they are making will make their location much easier to access in the near future. I was told by a friend, to go there as they only charge $10 to dump brush. I'm a volunteer and helped a lady remove weeds that grew up at her place in August after she has a fall. It's been a month, of weed growth in 85' temperatures. She had 2 large bags worth of weeds. I can't put them in my trash. They are weeds, so I can't compare at my home. The Olmsted co. Recycle cent won't take them. There are few options, so for $10 this was my plan. Yes, $5 per bag seems crazy especially since I'm already volunteering my time, gas, and now money to dump weeds. Anyway, I arrived and my only vehicle is a pick up truck. The sign says $10 for car or can. $25 for pick up. It DOESNT matter how full the truck is. I found a very nice gentleman who apologized that it didn't matter if I had one bag or my truck was over flowing.....it's $25. You have to be kidding me. It is an honor system to pay. Video monitoring. Well marked where to dump. Not sure I will do it again at $25 - way too expensive. I would borrow a car, but who wants brush in their trunk just to save money. We need a better solution. -

6 months agoHathaway tree service cut down a very large ash tree for us. The crew did an excellent job!! Very professional, hard working, careful, done in a very timely manner and a very reasonable price!!! They also did an excellent job in cleaning up afterwards!!! I've had other trees removed by 2 other companies and Hathaway outperformed them, by far, in every way! I will definitely be using them for all my tree removal services in the future! I highly recommend them for all your tree removal services!!! -

1 year agoOur neighbor had their tree cut down by Hathaway. After getting the OK from our neighbor I asked the crew if they'd be willing to leave a few pieces of the tree trunk for stepping blocks for a preschool natural playground. Not only was the crew willing but they offered to cut pieces to size. We were not only please with how kind and willing they were to help us but we were amazed at how fast and efficient the crew worked to remove 2 giant trees with a crane over houses and when finished with the job they walked the neighborhood and picked up all pieces of branches/leaves. You can barely tell they were here. If I ever need a tree company they will be my first call. -

FAQ
How much does it cost to use Wood Recycling Site / Brush Dump for brush dumping or tree removal?
We determine pricing based on the volume of yard debris, type of service like tree removal or curbside pickup, and any additional needs such as wood chipping. Contact us for a custom quote tailored to your project, as we keep costs reasonable while covering professional labor and equipment. This approach ensures transparency without hidden fees for disposal or cleanup.
Are you licensed and insured?
Wood Recycling Site / Brush Dump carries full licensing and insurance to protect homeowners during tree services and junk removal. Our professional crews follow industry standards for safe operations, as shown in our track record of handling large tree removals near homes without issues. Homeowners can verify our credentials when scheduling to ensure peace of mind.
Does Wood Recycling Site / Brush Dump handle curbside branch pickups and provide wood chips?
We manage curbside branch pickups by raking every stick clean after collection and offer wood chips from processed yard waste. Our services also include brush dumping at our site in Rochester, MN, tree removals with cranes and chainsaws, and even planting new trees. Visit us at 2555 50th Ave NW to drop off debris or arrange pickup for these tasks.
What is the typical timeline for scheduling a service with you?
We respond quickly to calls for curbside pickups or tree services, often arranging visits soon after contact to handle your yard debris. Expect our crew to arrive within a defined window that fits your schedule, completing jobs efficiently like large tree removals in a timely manner. This flexible approach minimizes wait times while prioritizing careful execution.
What happens to the debris after Wood Recycling Site / Brush Dump completes a curbside pickup or tree removal?
We rake up every last stick during curbside pickups and transport all wood waste to our recycling site for processing into wood chips. After tree removals, we can leave specific trunk pieces if requested, such as for stepping blocks, while handling the rest responsibly. Your property stays clean and balanced, with options to purchase our wood chips for landscaping.
Why is hiring you safer than doing tree removal or brush disposal myself?
Our crews use specialized equipment like cranes and skid steers to lift entire trees over houses safely, avoiding risks of falling branches or property damage common in DIY attempts. Professionals ensure careful cleanup and precise cuts, as seen in reviews of large ash tree jobs done without incident. This method protects your home and family far better than renting tools without training.
