6 years agoThis company has provided inspection, repair, and sweep service at my residence since 2010. Their staff's professional courtesy cannot be topped, and I say the same about their chimney professionals who do the on-site work. Most importantly their work quality and reliability are consistently excellent, Their repair rates are reasonable and fair, whether for inspections or for repairs and improvements throughout the years. It's wonderful knowing that our fireplace and chimney are operating safely and efficiently. Their most recent service for me was an inspection on Aug 25, 2020. -

FAQ
How does The Chimney Sweep determine pricing for chimney cleaning and repairs?
We assess pricing based on the chimney's condition, size, and any repairs needed like masonry work or firebox rebuilding. Free estimates are provided after an initial inspection to give you a clear picture of costs. This approach ensures you understand the value before committing to service.
Are you licensed and insured for chimney sweeping and related services?
The Chimney Sweep carries full licensing and insurance to cover all our chimney sweep, repair, and contracting work. Homeowners have relied on our professional staff since 2010 for inspections, sweeps, and repairs without issues. This protects both your property and our team during every job.
Does The Chimney Sweep handle chimney repairs like rebuilding fireboxes and fixing damaged brick tops?
We perform chimney repairs including rebuilding fireplace fireboxes with new firebricks and fixing damaged brick chimney tops with caps. Our services extend to masonry, roofing, and gutter work alongside sweeps and vent cleaning. These tasks ensure your chimney structure remains safe and functional long-term.
What is your typical timeline and arrival window for chimney service appointments?
We complete most chimney sweeps and minor repairs within a couple of hours, though initial inspections may require a follow-up visit. Scheduling accounts for weather delays, with rescheduled appointments honored punctually. Expect clear communication on arrival windows to fit your day.
How does The Chimney Sweep handle cleanup and debris after chimney work?
We bag up every bit of soot from the flue, smoke chamber, and shelf to prevent any mess in your home. Debris from repairs like firebox rebuilding goes into buckets for removal, leaving your space clean. Our process prioritizes a tidy finish so you can use your fireplace right away.
Why is your professional chimney sweeping method safer than attempting it yourself?
Our brushing process thoroughly cleans the flue, smoke chamber, and shelf using specialized tools that capture all soot safely. Professionals spot issues like damaged bricks or rebuild needs that DIY misses, preventing fire risks from creosote buildup. This expert approach keeps your home safer without the hazards of ladders or incomplete cleaning.
