3 months agoWe have used Flooring America for two different projects and are now on our third. The first one, we used their service, their people to tear out and re-carpet our upstairs and stairs. The process was smooth. They arrived on time, were polite, and timely. The carpet looks great. The second one, we hired an installer for the hardwood tile flooring. We couldn't be happier with how it looks. We are going to use them next for the flooring in our upstairs bathroom. Happy customers! -

3 months agoWe used Flooring America before and it was such a pleasant experience that we went back to them in May. They were able to match the basement carpet to match the new carpet for an attached bedroom. Very smooth process, quick install and very good customer service. They have great prices; lowest we were able to find. -

4 months agoI do not recommend this company based on our experience. We encountered repeated delays, poor communication, and unsatisfactory workmanship throughout the entire process. Our flooring project was scheduled to begin on August 10th, and we were told it would take two days to complete. As a business, we closed on Monday to accommodate the installation and informed our clients accordingly. Unfortunately, the installer, Alek, did not complete the job on time, forcing us to remain closed on Tuesday and reschedule our customers. We were understanding that delays can happen, but the issues only continued. When we reopened on Wednesday, we immediately noticed that the floor had not been properly installed. The flooring was not glued down correctly, and the area near the door was unfinished - causing several tripping incidents with customers and staff. We contacted the company, who instructed us to send photos but then told us to deal directly with the installer. Despite numerous follow-ups, we did not hear back from Alek until September 16th, weeks later. He promised to return to fix the issues, but communication remained inconsistent. On October 1st, he said a special glue had been ordered, and he finally returned on October 14th to make repairs. However, the floor was still not properly fixed, and the door area remained incomplete. He was scheduled again for November 10th to finish the work but canceled once more. As of today - more than two months later - the floor remains unfinished. Our team continues to experience safety concerns, and we have had to tape down the affected area to prevent further accidents. Overall, this experience has been extremely unprofessional and disruptive to our business operations. We would strongly recommend exercising caution before hiring this company.

FAQ
How does Bowcutt's Flooring America determine pricing for carpet installation?
We base pricing on the square footage of the area, type of carpet selected like premium Shaw options, and scope of work including tear-outs and installs. Custom quotes account for matching existing floors in areas such as basements and bedrooms. Contact us for a detailed estimate tailored to your project needs.
Are you licensed and insured for carpet and flooring work?
Bowcutt's Flooring America carries the necessary licensing and insurance to protect your home and our team during installations. This coverage handles potential issues from accidents or damage on the job. We prioritize safety and compliance for every carpet project.
Does Bowcutt's Flooring America handle tear-outs, matching carpet in basements and bedrooms, and carpet tile installations?
We manage full carpet projects including tear-outs, new installs, and matching existing floors in basements and bedrooms. Our services extend to carpet tile installations as shown in office and living spaces. This ensures seamless updates across different room types.
What is your typical timeline and scheduling process for flooring projects?
Bowcutt's Flooring America schedules projects based on material availability and your preferred start date, with timelines varying by project size from upstairs and stairs to full room re-carpetings. We communicate expected arrival windows and completion dates upfront. Factors like subfloor prep can influence the overall duration.
What does Bowcutt's Flooring America do with old carpet waste and debris after installation?
We handle removal and disposal of old carpet during tear-outs as part of the installation process. Our team leaves your space clean and ready for immediate use. This includes clearing debris from projects like basement and bedroom flooring matches.
Why is hiring you for carpet installation safer and better than doing it as a DIY project?
We use professional techniques for proper subfloor preparation, precise cutting, and secure stretching that prevent common DIY issues like bubbling or uneven wear. Our experience ensures carpet like Shaw premium lines lasts longer under foot traffic without health risks from poor ventilation or adhesive use. Homeowners avoid tool costs and physical strain from handling heavy rolls and disposal.
