They were prompt and efficient, explained the process for removing the two oak trees that were obstructing our yard. The quote we received was by far much less than those of other local companies. The owner took the time to explain the process to my young son...he loved it! I would highly recommend! Thank you Good Ol' Boys Tree Service!

Good Ol Boys tree service is a great tree services company. They answered on first call/try, showed up early, and did a fantastic job trimming my 50+ year old maple tree. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for improvement to their backyard appearance.

In November, a crew came to work on a tree on my neighbor's property that hung over mine. I wasn't notified the work was happening till the day of, at which time I didn't know the extend of the damage that would take place to my lawn. They began working on it, I went into my office in the basement to work, and when I came up several hours later I found an 8 foot section of my fence had been removed, 2 different kinds of hauling machines on my lawn (1 photo attached - there were 2 of those machines, no lawn protection, and moving on and off my lawn for 1-2 days), and 2000+ pounds of stumps laying all over the place (can also see the stump in the photo, enormous tree and stumps just everywhere). I quickly went outside, told them they NEVER asked for my authorization to do it, and wanted to have a conversation about it. The lead on the crew was extremely rude, said something along the lines of "Well too late now"...I allowed them to continue & finish the project, and the guy verbally acknowledged the damage, & agreed to bring back soil at a later date to help repair the damage. It is now early May, finally able to work on my lawn (which, because of how compact this crew made my lawn, there are valleys everywhere & I'm experiencing tons of NEW flooding), and I give the guy a ring to help me out. He again is very rude with me, tells me I can't just wait 8 months and then reach out (even though it was winter up until early April?), hangs up, and is now unresponsive. I'm not coming out of the woodwork seeking reparations, I literally wanted you to hold true to your agreement, help me lay soil & seed, and work on the sloping to repair the damages, but instead he blows me off. Disappointing to say the least. Edit on 3/13 in response to owner: Yes I do want to discuss the significant damage to my lawn that I'm still dealing with & have had to handle, having gotten quotes for re-surfacing my lawn for $10k. You handled this situation extremely unprofessionally, and not to mention the amount of time it took to get a response. Good luck w/ your business.

FAQ

How does Good Ol' Boys Tree Service determine pricing for tree removal?

We break down each job into specific components so you understand exactly what you're paying for. Our estimates detail each phase-tree cutting, brush chipping, wood cutting, wood hauling, and stump grinding-so you can choose which services fit your needs and budget. This transparent approach lets you see the full scope of work before we begin, and you only pay for the services you want.

Are you licensed and insured?

Good Ol' Boys Tree Service carries proper insurance coverage to protect you from liability in case of accidents, injuries, or property damage during the work. Insurance is mandatory in professional tree service, and we maintain current certificates. Always ask any tree service company for proof of insurance before hiring-if they can't provide it, that's a red flag.

Can Good Ol' Boys Tree Service handle hazardous tree removals near my house or structures?

Yes, we specialize in hazardous removals over structures and have the equipment and expertise to handle complex jobs safely. Trees near your home require careful planning and precise execution, but our crew has the tools and experience to remove them without damaging your property. We also work with property managers and handle land clearing for horse pastures, yard expansions, and building lots.

How quickly can you respond if a tree comes down in my yard?

Good Ol' Boys Tree Service prides itself on fast response times during emergencies. Based on customer feedback, crews have arrived within two hours of a call when trees have fallen unexpectedly. We schedule appointments at times that work for you and show up ready to work on the agreed-upon day, so you can count on us to be there when you need us.

What does Good Ol' Boys Tree Service do with debris and waste after the job?

We handle full cleanup and debris removal as part of our service. After we finish cutting, chipping, and grinding, we clear the area around the tree so your yard is left clean and ready to use. If you need us to haul away wood or debris, that's factored into our itemized estimate so there are no surprises.

Why should I hire a professional tree service instead of doing it myself?

Tree work is dangerous-logging and tree removal rank among the most hazardous jobs in the country. Professionals have specialized equipment, safety training, and experience that prevent injuries and property damage. We know how to assess tree health, plan removal safely, and execute the work efficiently. DIY attempts with chainsaws and climbing can result in serious injury, and improper cuts can harm tree health long-term or cause branches to fall unexpectedly.
