Hostile, Unfriendly, Dismissive Avoidant, Had to involve the police. BEWARE - Writing a negative review will cause them to escalate. Update: I have a tenant who was shoveling out his car because services were not provided when I said for next time. After a "misunderstanding" of being scammed due to lack of communication. He mentioned how I shouldn't be upset because he doesn't understand the big deal is because somebody is already shoveling. Which made me feel unsafe because this person had enough time to drive by my home and point out my tenant shoveling when it's not even my tenants responsibility to do so. I feel uneasy leaving the home now especially with his accusatory/ hostile communication today. Update 2/5/26 They contacted me to perform service Because they refused to give me a refund, Even though Prior to the commitment I was not informed of A no refund policy. There isn't even a need for a service because it hasn't snowed since but I personally feel uncomfortable so I don't really want them on my property Then said if you're not going to provide me with a refund, I don't see what there is to talk about. They continue to go back-and-forth with me and then mentioned where I worked. It is coming across as very intimidating. Now I had to file another police report because I am concerned with what they will do next and have to block the phone number from reach reaching out to me. A business should not make it personal the fact that they searched me and then threw it in my face that they know what I do for a living is incredibly aggressive and it's a form of intimidation because I am now unsure what you are going to do next with that information. This is not a professional company They will not speak to you professionally, and they will not hold themselves in professional manner. They care about money & do not care about their customers at all from my experience.

I'd give zero stars if I could. No called/no showed yesterday, then didn't reply to texts when I politely asked what was going on. You're better off hiring a kid to shovel than dealing with these jokers

FAQ

How does Dial-A-Shovel determine pricing for snow removal?

We assess pricing based on the size of the property, snow accumulation depth, and storm severity to ensure fair costs. Contact us for a custom quote tailored to your driveway and walkway needs. This approach accounts for thorough clearing without added expenses like salt.

Are you licensed and insured for snow removal services?

Dial-A-Shovel carries the necessary insurance to protect properties during snow removal operations in New Bedford, MA. Our established presence since 2015 supports safe and effective service for residents. Homeowners can verify details directly with us for peace of mind.

What areas does Dial-A-Shovel clear during snow removal?

We clear driveways and walkways completely to maintain safe access after storms. Photos of our work show residential driveways and sidewalks fully cleared in New Bedford, MA. This scope keeps properties accessible without requiring additional treatments.

What is your typical timeline and arrival window for snow removal?

Dial-A-Shovel responds promptly after significant storms, prioritizing properties based on storm impact and scheduling. Expect us to arrive within agreed windows during blizzards to handle high-demand periods. Clear communication ensures you know when to anticipate service.

How does Dial-A-Shovel handle cleanup and snow debris after removal?

We remove snow thoroughly from driveways and walkways, leaving surfaces clear and safe without piling debris on streets or lawns. Pushed snow is managed to avoid re-accumulation issues common after plows pass. This method minimizes the need for extra cleanup on your part.

Why is your professional snow removal safer than DIY shoveling?

Our equipment clears heavy snow accumulations efficiently, reducing risks like back strain from manual shoveling during big storms. Professional plowing ensures even surfaces without salt, preventing slips better than uneven DIY efforts. Homeowners avoid injury and property damage from improper snow piling.
