We received four quotes in total - Alex's was not only tied for the most affordable option, but he also provided the most comprehensive consultation by far! He really took the time to go over various plans, what each option would cost, and what they'd mean for the long term health of each tree. You can tell Alex passionately loves what he does and I appreciate his work - especially on the giant tree in our front yard that brings joy to everyone in our neighborhood. -

4 years agoEssential Tree Service is literally everything you would want a company to be when you hire someone to do any kind of work at your home. I have honestly been writing this review in my since Alex came by for the first consult! Throughout the entire process, Alex was extremely communicative about the work being done but also how I can expect the work to impact my plants/environment in the long term! The cost was extremely reasonable. Alex and Doug were on time, efficient and safe. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome, and I absolutely will be a return customer for future projects! -

4 years agoLet me first just say that the tree that I needed to have taken down was in around 13 wires and bellied up to three properties. It is a tough job that I got 5 prices on. Alex was the most responsive, attentive and just all around knowledgeable. He came out the next day for an estimate and had us scheduled within the week. The job, which was huge took three days and was done perfectly. The attention to detail, the precision and the awareness of structure and property on my land bd my neighbors was the best I've ever seen. I cannot say enough great things about Alex and Essential Tree Services. If you are in Boston, have a tricky job or just need an estimate for a tree he is your guy. No crane, no big machinery. 10/10 stars. -

It was clear that he is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. He provided us different options, laying out the positives and negatives of each, never pressuring us towards one. When it came time to do the job itself, it was done with great care and efficiency; we are thrilled with the end result. When it comes time to trim again down the road, or if any other needs arise, I will definitely be contacting Alex first. -
