The service was very efficient, fast and the techs were super friendly and considerate of our time. Steve and Davi were conscientious about fixing our issue correctly rather than just getting it done quickly, which we truly appreciate!

Good service. I grabbed a black Friday deal of hvac maintenance for 8.99$ from Home Depot and heritage did a hvac maintenance service for that deal. It was really good service, answered all my questions in regards Richard and how it works and all and I recommend this maintenance service from them as they're professional and good at what they do

My boiler needed to be repaired and we were without heat in the winter. This company advised us to spend $20K on a new system, or offered to "try" and repair it for $4900. I instead got it serviced by a reputable local company who fixed it with a $225 part. We were told that several components were broken and needed to be replaced and this was simply not true. Heritage Home Service is a scam and I would never trust them in my home again.

The technician initially suggested there might be a chimney issue, so I arranged for a chimney contractor to inspect it today. After a thorough check, they confirmed there is no chimney problem. If there were, the other three older gas heaters connected to the same chimney would not be operating properly. They believe the issue is more likely related to the new heater. Because it has multiple safety sensors, it may be shutting off automatically. One possible cause is insufficient combustion air. In addition, the new unit is installed at the far end of the vent line, farther from the main chimney connection, which could be affecting the draft. They suggested installing a new vent pipe closer to the main chimney line, or creating a more direct exhaust route, to improve performance. Based on this, it appears the problem is related to the installation. Please arrange a time to come back and correct the issue as soon as possible.

Drew - has been here twice to fix my tankless water heater. First time, he discovered a particular igniter that was very dirty and it appeared once cleaned it would work. However, a few days later, I was having the same problem. Drew returned today to replace this part and it now appears to be fixed. Drew goes out of his way to get to the bottom of the issue and get it resolved. He went as far as shoveling snow out of the venting for the water heater, as this became an issue in his visit after a huge snowstorm. Thanks, Drew for you hard work D. McKinney

FAQ

Does Heritage Home Service offer free estimates for furnace assessments or water heater replacements?

We provide thorough assessments for furnaces and water heaters to determine the exact needs of your system before quoting. Our quotes are customized based on the scope of work, such as parts required and labor time involved. This approach ensures you receive an accurate price without hidden fees.

Are you licensed and insured for HVAC and plumbing work?

Heritage Home Service carries all necessary licensing and insurance for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services in Worcester, MA. Our team follows local codes and standards to protect your home and investment during repairs or installations. Homeowners can request proof of our credentials upon inquiry.

Does Heritage Home Service handle frozen pipe repairs and boiler installations?

We specialize in fixing frozen pipes after cold snaps and installing boiler systems with copper piping and expansion tanks. Our technicians assess the damage or setup requirements first, then complete the work efficiently, as seen in our heating system projects. This ensures your heating and plumbing systems operate smoothly year-round.

What is your typical timeline for scheduling and completing a service call?

We aim to schedule service within a narrow arrival window based on your availability, often completing straightforward repairs like pipe fixes in about 30 minutes. More involved tasks, such as furnace or water heater installs, follow an assessment and take one to two days depending on parts availability. Clear communication keeps you informed every step.

Does Heritage Home Service clean up after installations like heat pump or valve replacements?

We leave your home clean and tidy after every job, removing all debris from furnace installs, valve upgrades, or heat pump setups. Our team uses protective measures like drop cloths during work to minimize mess. Technicians perform a final walkthrough to confirm everything is in order before leaving.

Why is it safer to hire you for complex tasks like heating system installs instead of doing DIY?

Professional installation ensures proper sizing, refrigerant handling, and code-compliant connections that prevent inefficiencies or hazards like leaks and electrical issues. Our experienced technicians, such as those who install Mitsubishi heat pumps or replace gate valves with ball valves, verify airflow and performance post-job. DIY attempts often overlook critical factors like static pressure or insulation, leading to higher energy bills or system failures.
