2 months agoThis just happened (3/7/2026)! My friend and I were on the side of 270 (high traffic, not great weather, not very safe) and our quote from roadside assistance was saying they'd be there within an hour. Being the gritty millennials we are, we decided to try our hand at changing the tire ourselves. We were midway through when a member of the Ricky's team pulled over and asked if we needed help. Within minutes, he quickly corrected our minor errors and got us back on the road (an hour ahead of schedule!) he wasn't the tow truck assigned to help, but he was the one to stop and help us and be on his way before we were able to get his name! But thank you, Ricky's, for employing drivers who will stop to help (even though we weren't their call.) 10/10 service! -

2 months agoLet me start off by saying that if you need to get towed, call anyone else BUT THEM. They are extremely unprofessional, predatory and hostile people. They towed my vehicle unlawfully, would not acknowledge that they don't know city ordinance laws and when presented with the information, basically laughed in my face saying that since I have all the proof, I should file a claim against them. Which I will be doing. Such bad business practices and such bad personalities all around. What they say is true, miserable people love to make others miserable. -

3 months agoTerrible experience! I am extremely dissatisfied with the customer service I received from this company. First, the representative I spoke with failed to answer my questions, hung up the phone without providing necessary information, and claimed to be a manager, which was unacceptable. Second, I was left waiting for a tow truck driver for over half an hour in a dark alley lot at 3 am, in 29-degree freezing weather. This experience was not only frustrating but also posed a safety risk. Indeed, please be sure to inspect your vehicle before leaving the facility you might be surprised later when you find damage. Not worth it -

4 months agoI get it I got my car towed. I paid. But the driver was very aggressive and threatened to call the police on me. And falsely accused me of drinking and driving when I wasn't the owner of the vehicle or driving. Very upset. The number customer service representative. Is very nasty. He blocks your number. They make you wait a long time to get your car out. It's so unprofessional. Very disappointing.

FAQ
How does Ricky's Towing & Recovery LLC determine towing costs?
We calculate towing costs based on factors like distance, vehicle type, and recovery complexity such as highway or adverse weather conditions. Quotes are provided upfront over the phone or on-site to give you a clear idea before service begins. This approach ensures transparency so you know what to expect without hidden fees.
Are you licensed and insured for towing services?
Ricky's Towing & Recovery LLC maintains all required licensing and insurance for safe vehicle towing and recovery operations. Our fleet and operators comply with federal and state regulations to handle jobs legally. Homeowners can verify our carrier status through public databases like the FMCSA SAFER system for added peace of mind.
Does Ricky's Towing & Recovery LLC handle recovery for vehicles stuck on busy highways?
We specialize in towing and recovery for vehicles stuck in challenging locations like busy highways, regardless of weather or traffic. Our team uses wheel lifts, flatbeds, and other equipment to secure cars, buses, and damaged vehicles efficiently. Photos of our operations in areas like Derwood, MD, show our capability for these niche tasks.
What is your typical arrival time for towing requests?
We aim for prompt response times, especially in high-traffic or unsafe areas, though exact arrival depends on current jobs and location. Expect us to provide an estimated window when you call, prioritizing urgent situations like night or bad weather scenarios. Clear communication helps set realistic scheduling expectations.
What does Ricky's Towing & Recovery LLC do with debris after a tow?
We clear any loose debris from the towing site to leave it safe and tidy for you or authorities. For damaged vehicles, we secure parts during loading to minimize roadside mess. This practice protects the scene and reduces hazards for other drivers.
Why is professional towing safer than trying a DIY recovery?
Your trained operators use specialized gear like flatbeds and wheel lifts to avoid further vehicle damage or injury risks in traffic and weather. DIY attempts often lead to accidents or worsened situations without proper winching knowledge. Our experience ensures stable transport, especially for heavy or stuck loads.
