14 years agoI was extremely disappointed and unhappy with this company. I had just purchased my house and the previous owners had left some debris in the yard that I was unable to take care of and the yard itself needed cutting, trimming, etc. and I was not able to do that work due to a hand injury. When I asked him for a written estimate via email after he gave me a verbal quote, he said he didn't have email to send me one. That should have been a red flag, but I agreed to have him perform the work anyway since he had given me a verbal quote that I thought was fair. The day before he was scheduled to come, I called to confirm and confirmed verbally all the work that needed to be done, specifically citing that he would remove all the vines growing on the chain link fences and that he would clean out all along the bottom of the fence line and that yard would be raked/cleared of excessive amounts of oak tree droppings. I was extremely disappointed and angry when I got home only to find that the vines were still all over the fence and the bottom of the fence line had not been cleaned out as promised and all the oak tree droppings were still covering the area below the tree. I have spent countless hours cutting vines and pulling weeds and growth along the fence which is very difficult to do with my injury. Then a week after he was there and did some of the work, he called me and demanded payment....despite the fact that he had never provided me with an estimate or a bill. I told him that I had been waiting for a bill since I had no idea where to send a check!! The "bill" I received did not itemize his services - it simply stated "INVOICE FOR LAWN CARE". I always promptly pay my bills, so I promptly paid the bill upon receipt, despite my unhappiness with the work not completely performed as promised because I had a verbal agreement with him to pay a certain amount. Needless to say, I would never use him again, nor would I recommend him. He did not perform all the work as agreed. When I sent him the check, I wrote him a letter indicating my displeasure, but I have not had the courtesy of a call in response or an offer to make amends. -
