2 months agoI cannot recommend Protech Refrigeration due to their dishonest pricing practices. They are completely inconsistent with their labor quotes; the more you call, the more the hourly rate mysteriously climbs. I've watched their rate go from $110 to $125 in the span of only 11 days. It seems they just jack the price up further every time you follow up. On top of the shifting labor rates, they significantly overcharge for parts. They charge double the retail price for items they pick up at local stores, meaning you're paying for their travel time plus a 100% markup on the hardware itself. It feels like they are stealing money right out of your pocket. Save yourself the headache and go with a company that offers honest, transparent pricing. -

6 months agoFLOODED MY GARAGE DO NOT USE!!! Second time using pro tech first time was great....this time had a hot water heater replaced on 9/4 and the technician turned on a valve tht provides water to my garage witch has been off and unused since I've owned the property for 13 years causing a sufficient amount of water to flood my garage causing damage to witch jason the owner says is not there fault ur employee should not be flipping random valves they have no idea wht it goes to its a mistake own it thts wht insurance is for!!!! And had a leak on the brand hot water heater tht was just replaced had another technician come fix the work tht was done... -

6 months agoPro-Tech Refrigeration did a conversion in the house I am in from oil to gas. They were very easy to deal with and did an amazing job. I would highly recomend Pro-Tech Refrigeration for any hvac services. They are honest and were very accomodating and resonably priced. -

8 months agoOur AC unit died on us on one of the hottest days of the summer. After calling several other places (all booked) I called these guys and they were able to fit me in. I needed a new part and a wire tightened and we were back in business w our AC working again! The man who came to our house was kind, thorough, knowledgeable, and patient. He answered all of my questions and was wonderful. The woman who answered the phone was wonderful as well. My animals and I were beyond thankful! -

10 months agoAbout 7 years ago we had Pro-Tech Refrigeration install a central air system in the attic of our home in Auburn. From start to finish the work was superb. Our house was kept clean and the installation looks tidy and professional. We have used them for service calls and maintenance on the system and have always been treated well. This past April we reached out to have some of the rooms split and zoned off from the rest of the house as we wanted to keep the bedrooms cooler at night. This required the attic ductwork to be reconfigured with baffles and a controller. Again, the Pro-Tech team delivered! The work was done in a day and a half with the guys keeping things clean and organized. The owner even stopped by and answered some our questions when part of the install had to make an unexpected pivot. A month has passed since the work was done and it has been so nice to have multiple zones that keep the rooms as we want them. I highly recommend Pro-Tech for all of your HVAC needs.
