Good RV dump station. Clean. Easy access. $20 cash fee. Note that Google Maps routed us from Brunswick under a railroad bridge with 11'3" clearance, which was ok for us, but not for larger RVs. No potable water.

FAQ

Does Brunswick Sewer District charge a fee for using your RV dump station?

We charge a $20 cash fee for RV and camper gray water discharge at our facility. The dump station is located next to our administration office at 10 Pine Tree Rd in Brunswick, and is open from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Thursday. We recommend calling ahead at 207-729-0148 if you have questions about access or availability, especially if you're driving a larger RV, since some routes to our location have height restrictions.

Are you licensed to handle wastewater treatment and sewer services?

Brunswick Sewer District is a quasi-municipal corporation created in 1947 and is licensed to treat 3.85 million gallons per day of sewage. We manage over 1,800 manholes, 85 miles of pipe, and nearly 40 pump stations across Brunswick and Topsham. Our team of 16 full-time employees and up to 20 seasonal staff follow strict environmental and operational standards to protect the health and environment of the communities we serve.

What should I do if I have slow drainage or suspect a problem with Brunswick Sewer District's main lines?

If you're experiencing slow drainage through toilets or drains, first check whether your neighbors are having the same issue. Call us at 207-729-0148 and press 4 to report the problem-we can determine whether the issue is with our main lines or your private sewer lateral. If the problem is on your property, you'll likely need to contact a plumber, but we recommend calling us first so we can rule out issues on our end and save you unnecessary service calls.

How quickly can you respond to sewer emergencies after hours?

Brunswick Sewer District has operations staff available from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM on weekdays. For after-hours emergencies outside these times, call our main office at 207-729-0148 and follow the prompts to reach our emergency response team. We maintain 24/7 emergency coverage to address urgent issues like overflows, pump station alarms, or main line breaks that could affect your property or the community.

Does Brunswick Sewer District offer adjustments for outdoor watering on my bill?

We offer a Sewer Use Adjustment Policy when water is used for outdoor purposes and doesn't return to the public sewer system. As of January 1, 2025, customers requesting a watering credit must purchase and install an approved submeter that measures in cubic feet. You're responsible for installation, maintenance, and quarterly reporting of submeter readings, and you'll receive a credit on your sewer bill-though a minimum quarterly charge still applies regardless of usage.

What happens if I can't pay my sewer bill on time?

We understand that financial challenges happen, and we're here to work with you. If you're having trouble paying your bill, contact us at 207-729-0148 to arrange a payment plan that fits your situation. You can also sign up for our Direct Payment Plan to have payments deducted automatically from your checking or savings account, or pay online through our website at your convenience.
