10 years agoTherma Pro arrived on day 1 and their foam insulation spray equipment failed on startup. Crew returned to base unable to repair. One week later the crew reappears and different equipment fails to operate shortly after foam spraying starts, work is stopped again. i called the foam supplier factory about this poor performance from their dealer. On day 3 the foam factory representative is on site and corrects several technical issues and helps Therma Pro workers clean their equipment that failed to operate correctly the day before (the second failed day). Workers then decide to return home and attend to personal matters, leaving the job incomplete for the third day. The foam factory then obtained a high quality foam installer who accomplished the work far superior to the work Therma Pro had started and failed to finish. Therma Pro was asked to return the $1500 deposit and has failed to do so or communicate back on the matter. Their sales representative failed to return multiple email and voice calls during the mechanical bereakdowns and after work was stopped the third time. I would never allow these people on any house rebuild job site I have in the future. -

12 years agoWE WERE TOLD WE DID NOT HAVE TO CLOSE OFF THE VENTILATION AND TAKE OUT THE OLD INSULATION IN OUR ATTIC BECAUS OF THE TYPE OF STRUCTURE OF OUR ROOF AND WE WOULD STILL SAVE ALLOT ON OUR ELECTRIC BILL. WE HAD THE WORK DONE AND WAITED ABOUT 6 MONTHS AND SAW NO SAVINGS SO WE STARTED CALLING THE COMPANY TO SEE IF THEY WOULD LOOK INTO IT. WE LEFT MANY MESSAGES AND NO ONE RETURNED OUR CALLS. wHEN WE DID REACH SOMEONE THAY SAID THEY WOULD CALL US BACK AND NEVER DID. WE WENT TO THE 2014 HOME SHOW WHICH IS WHERE WE FIRST SPOKE TO THEM IN 2013 AND SPOKE TO SOMEONE THERE WHO TOOK OUR NAME AND NUMBER AND ASSURED US HE WOULD PULL OUR FILE AND CALL US. AGAIN NO CALL SO WE BEGAN CALLING AGAIN AND SPOKE TO SOMEONE THAT SAID OUR HOUSE IS THE ONLY HOUSE THAT WAS DONE WITHOUT CLOSING OFF THE VENTS LAST YEAR AND ASKED US WHY. MY HUSBAND TOLD HIM THE SALES PERSON TOLD US IT WAS NOT NECESSARY FOR OUR HOME. HE SAID THAT PERSON NO LONGER WORKS FOR THEM BUT HE WOULD CALL HIM AND GET BACK TO US, AGAIN HE DID NOT CALL US BACK. I PUT A COMPLAINT IN WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU IN MAY. THE FIRST WEEK IN JUNE WE RECEIVED A MESSAGE ON OUR HOME ANSWERING MACHINE FROM DOUG RINGOLD FROM THERMASEAL AND ASKED US TO RETURN HIS CALL. I CALLED THAT AFTERNOON AND HE THOUGHT I WAS CALLING TO SET US AN ESTIMATE WHEN I TOLD HIM I HAD PUT IN A COMPLAINT HE SAID HE WANTED TO COME TO OUR HOUSE SOMETIME AT THE END OF THE WEEK. HE SAID HE WOULD CALL US BACK AND I ASKED IF THAT WAS A PROMISE AS HE NEVER RETURNED OUR CALLS BEFORE. HE STATED YES HE WOULD CALL. AS OF NOW HE HAS NOT CALLED BACK AND THAT WAS 2 WEEKS AGO. HE HAS SINCE STATED TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU THAT ALL WE WANTED WAS 1" CLOSED CELL FOAM ADHESIVE WHICH IS DESIGNED FOR STORM PROTECTION. THIS IS NOT TRUE, WHY WOULD WE SPEND OVER $6,000 FOR THAT? DOUG FROM THERMASEAL FINALLY SET UP A TIME TO COME TO OUR HOUSE TO LOOK AT THE WORK THAT HAD BEEN DONE ON MONDAY AUGUST 25TH. HE NEVER SHOWED NOR DID HE CALL.
