3 years agoBaton Rouge Air provided an estimate to remove and reinstall my solar panels that was $1,000 more than my local solar company, Solar Alternatives. I asked him to separate the removal and reinstall charges so I could compare with my local quote before approving. The rep scoffed and said if I was comparison shopping he wasn't interested in the job. Upon further review, for less than the price quoted by Baton Rouge Air, Solar Alternatives will remove and reinstall the panels, clean the panels, replace 4 micro inverters and complete panel mapping. I don't know about their quality of work, but Baton Rouge Air has poor customer service. -

FAQ
How does Baton Rouge Air determine pricing for HVAC work, and do you offer free estimates?
We provide straightforward estimates that break down labor, equipment, parts, and any additional costs upfront so there are no surprises. Our estimates are free and include a detailed scope of work that explains exactly what we'll do and what's included. This transparent approach helps you understand the full cost before we begin any work on your system.
Are you licensed, insured, and certified to perform HVAC work?
Baton Rouge Air maintains the proper licensing and insurance required to operate as an HVAC contractor in Louisiana. We handle everything from AC repairs and installations to specialized work, and our crew is trained to work safely on residential and commercial systems. You can ask us to verify our credentials and insurance coverage before we start any job.
Can Baton Rouge Air handle solar panel removal and reinstallation along with HVAC work?
Yes, we handle specialized jobs like solar panel removal and reinstallation alongside our core HVAC services. This means if you're upgrading your AC system or need roof access for HVAC work, we can coordinate solar panel work as part of the project. We'll provide separate line items in your estimate so you understand the cost for each service.
What should I expect for scheduling and how quickly can you arrive?
Baton Rouge Air works with you to schedule appointments that fit your availability. Our team is based locally in Baton Rouge, so we can respond promptly to both routine maintenance and urgent repair calls. When you contact us, we'll discuss your timeline and give you clear expectations about when we can arrive and complete your work.
How does Baton Rouge Air handle cleanup and debris removal after installation or repair work?
We take responsibility for leaving your home clean and organized after we finish. Our crew removes debris and waste materials from the work area and ensures your property is left in good condition. If you have specific concerns about how we'll protect your home during work, we're happy to discuss those details when we provide your estimate.
Why should I hire a professional instead of attempting HVAC work myself?
Professional HVAC work requires proper licensing, specialized tools, and technical knowledge to ensure your system operates safely and efficiently. Improper installation or repair can reduce system performance, shorten equipment life, and create safety hazards like incorrect refrigerant charge or electrical issues. We handle the technical complexity so your system runs smoothly and your warranty remains valid.
