4 years agoThey stained our pavers with concrete from blasting, killed my grass behind the pool after I told them to drain it in the drain located behind the pool next to the lake, they put pool ladder back in backwards, came out to change it and got black stains on the concrete around the ladder. They broke the pool lite while either removing it or reinstalling it. I paid for $500 for 30 day monitoring of the pool to supposedly enusure the warranty requirements were met, and I have been waiting almost 2 months for a copy of that warranty,my guess is there is no such thing. After 30 days we still could not use the pool because of the water clarity and chemical imbalance, which we had to pay our pool service to remedy. They did attempt to acid wash the pavers however, they still have plaster stains on them. NEVER, EVER USE THIS COMPANY. -

4 years agoPool Medic quoted me a price in 3/2022 to upgrade the pool automation on my salt water pool. They required I sign the quote and pay 50% down to begin installation. TWO months later they took my equipment down and started the installation only to realize that they did not include key components in their bid - namely the salt cell and the light kit. They then invoiced me an additional $5200 and refused to complete the installation unless I paid them more money. Avoid this company at all cost. -

12 years agoIt has been going very well. He has been adding the proper chemicals, as far as I can tell, which also includes the chemicals needed to destroy the algae. Every few days he has been scrubbing down the sides of the pool and vacuuming the sides and bottom of the pool. I HATE doing those two jobs but they are essential to meeting the goal of clearing up the pool. He brought in an electrician to take care of the circuits and other electrical problems. He's a man who knows what he DOESN'T know. That is an important attribute that helps make him a good independent contractor and it has shown in the work he has done for me. He is a very enjoyable person to be around while still maintaining a professional demeanor. -

12 years agoThe resurfacing job was done in October 2013. We just recently took the cover off the pool and the pool looks great. Bob came out to the house on a timely manner and gave us an estimate. We agreed on a price and date and his crew arrived to resurface our pool on schedule. The process took about 2 days and the pool was resurfaced with the 3M Florida Gem plaster. Bob came back once a week for about a month to test the water and make any adjustments if needed. -

12 years agoI had two pools at the time and he was aware that I did not live in the area to oversee his work. However, my neighbor would fill me in as well as my tenants. He often let the water level get so low that it burned out my pumps, he charged me astronomical amounts for the chemicals. So many chemicals that it was hard to believe my pools needed that much as they are very small. One is only 11x14. It was costing around $100 a month in chemicals alone! My neighbor said many times he would see them drive up to the house look over the fence and then leave, when they were supposed to be cleaning it and checking the chemicals, filling it up, backwashing etc. I guess if it wasn't turning green they left it alone. When I confronted Bob Kaiser, the owner, he got very angry and called my neighbor and quot;noseyand quot;. He has a very bad temper and is very unprofessional in that way. One time he told me we had a leak in one of my pools and charged me several hundreds to fix it. This was after my neighbor reported that the water level was so low the pump was running dry. Instead of admitting he wasn't keeping it filled properly, he just said there was a leak and then profitted from it. This was after my neighbor reported that the water level was so low the pump was running dry. One time I was talking with the owner, Bob Kaiser and he lost his temper with me again, and blurted out, and quot;there never was anything wrong with your pool, there was no leak, I just said that to shut up your nosey neighbor!and quot;. That was one time his bad temper got the best of him. So I refused to pay him for the leak. He took me to court over it and I countersued for cheating and lying. Well, beware, he is well versed in how to win a lawsuit. In Horry county small claims court is very formal and you have to present things in the same way an attorney would. It is not informal at all. If you don't know exactly how to act in the courtroom as far as presenting your case, you are going to lose. He even admitted to the judge that he lied about the leak and he still won! There is a good ole' boy network in Horry Co. and if you are an out of towner, you are out! Needless to say, I fired him and have been paying another service only $150/mo for maintaining each pool, including chemicals and there has never been a and quot;leakand quot; or a burned out pump since. Just beware of the fact that Pool Medic, LLC takes advantage of the fact that you are not there to see the job they are doing and he will rip you off every chance he gets. (By the way, he did the same thing to another beach house owner who has a house near mine, so it wasn't just my experience)
