4 years agoNot a customer of this business and extremely glad about it. I own a home in the middle of two lots that are owned by Haddix Construction. I have called several times for the following reasons: I had to call many times to get them to mow the lots beside me. Several times the grass reached 3 ft tall. They have parked in my driveway. They have run over my driveway with large trucks. They have blocked my driveway. They have blocked the road. They have blocked my mail box. They have cut ruts in my yard with trucks. They have mowed the lot beside me and damaged my house with rocks discharged from the mower. (I had to repair the "hardie board" myself.) They leave trash in the building lots beside me and trash blows over in my yard. (several times). They take trash out of their vehicles and throw it in the dirt and then cover the trash up with the dirt they use for the yard. They pile up dirt that flows over the sidewalks in the neighborhood. But the biggest complaint is when they started building beside me I personally told them to be careful not to cut the line that was buried to the medical device connected in my house. (I personally showed them where the line was buried) Well, as usual they paid no attention and cut the line. I made sure to tell the construction foreman, the office personnel and the contractors working in the lot because it is essential that the medical device be operating daily. When I complained to the office the day they cut the line I was told, "Well, we are building over 70 houses and we can't be everywhere and watch everything." If Haddix Construction cannot supervise their employees I would suggest they develop a plan to be more professional and be concerned about their work, the neighbors and other people's personal property. If Haddix cannot more responsible maybe they need to shut down and allow responsible builders to build houses in Georgetown. When I called code enforcement they laughed and told me that Haddix Construction is called about all the time for code violations. I detest their business practices. I have never had a follow-up from Haddix in regards to these concerns. -

9 years agoNo concern for quality or time. Buyers MUST oversee the work daily to catch all of the shortcuts taken to save a buck. I would not recommend this company to anyone. We have now been in our home six months and the punch list of things open at closing (for Haddix to complete after closing) is still not complete. Regardless of our numerous requests to close everything, it is apparent they've moved onto their next dollar. -

9 years agoThe sales team stated 5 to 7 month with an assurance it would more than likely be 5 months. On the 6th month I contacted the builder 31 days prior to the proposed completion date and was given a written confirmation it would be done on the 7th month. I went ahead and locked in my finance rates and notified the builder that I had done that and our lease would be ending on the 26th of december and would save my use or lose vacation time to move in. Since that day I have driven by the house every day and noticed that there have been very few days that anyone has been at the house working. Tomorrow is the day the builder confirmed we would be closing and come to find out that it is nowhere close to being complete, no driveway, central air, hardwood, tile, stonework and painting is not even done yet...much much more to go.
