Lisa and the rest of the team made it quick and easy to get the flooring I needed for my new home, and you really can't beat the price, either.

Installed a crooked support beam that ran the length of the main floor - blamed it on the company they got it from. This creates two issues, knowingly installed a crooked beam & not taking responsibility for work They removed paneling in garage ceiling (which was necessary) but then left down for weeks. They broke ceiling tiles & left insulation on the ground. They didn't do anything or fix the broken tiles after the issue was brought to Brandon's attention, blaming the electrician that they hired. Plumber left a leak in one of the lines & left a puddle of sewage in the ceiling for us to clean up. Cabinets were installed unlevel & with crooked handles. Handles were installed without confirmation of which to use on which doors - pull handles were put on all (rather than desired and agreed on mix of handles/knobs). Sloppy paint lines where ceiling & wall meet. Paint drips were left in multiple spots. When demoing the subfloor, they tampered so hard it damaged the basement ceiling. There was a major crack in the ceiling & screw holes exposed. It still looks patchy after trying to fix the damage. When drywalling the beam and post, there was a gap left between the 2. Their solution was to hastily add putty to make the drywall connect and close the gap. It wasn't smooth, it left residue on multiple parts of beam, & looked terrible. Flooring was installed with large gaps next to wall & sloppy cut lines that would not be covered by trim. Excuse was that quarter round would cover it, even though we made it clear that we didnt want that. This was pushed more times than comfortable with, to hide the sloppy work. When flooring was put in bedroom, they failed to remove the existing trim & placed the flooring right up next to it, so would not be able to remove existing trim. When replacing trim there would still be gaps showing that not even quarter round covers. They used permanent marker to label lines & pieces, & left said marks post install for us to remove. They broke a stone off of our fireplace & simply set it back up leaving for us to find. Sloppy install of stair nose to the point that it was already pulling away from the floor that night. This left nails exposed to be stepped on. A transition piece was clearly cut too short for the doorway, but installed anyways & only replaced after we mentioned it. We later asked them to order another stair nose so we could replace the one improperly installed- initially asked for a new stair nose on 3 AUG, told that it would be a few days. Then the excuse was they were on back order. 20 DEC, we finally got tired of the same story and went to Orgain - they delivered the exact stair nose in one week. Flooring company states that there cannot be a slope in the floor more than 3/16' & there certainly is due to how subfloor was installed. Our warranty is void before job us even finished. On install day for butcher block countertops, workers went to pick up the butcher block that morning & proceeded to tell us that everywhere in area was out of what we wanted. Throughout the day we checked multiple Lowes & Home Depot, all said they had them in stock. I drove to Lowes the next morning & they had multiple lengths/boards to choose from. We confirmed with the store manager that they did not receive a shipment that night. Yet another lie. They removed trim around a door in the main living area (after other trim was removed weeks ago) that did not need to be removed & ripped up brand new paint & drywall. When brought to contractor, he said the trim had been "off for a while now", which obviously can't be the case. We were so unhappy with the remodel & lack of trust, we took on multiple parts of the project, such as installing countertops, installing all trim (which was delayed on our part), building out the pantry, & installing all appliances and toilet. Lack of communication was huge. Any issue would be addressed with irritation or excuses. It's extremely frustrating when there is an obvious lack of organization. Minus the swift demo, very disappointing.

What did you accomplish during the two (2) weeks ice storm that pretty much shut our city down? We decided to redo the flooring in our basement! Calvin and I had a wonderful experience with New Age Flooring, LLC in Clarksville, TN. After interviewing several flooring contractors and reading their public reviews; we decided to use a local contractor. We liked the reviews posted for New Age Flooring. When visiting their showroom and warehouse on College Street, we met Lisa their knowledgeable and friendly office manager. While we were with Lisa, she called Brandon, the owner. We were able to schedule a meeting him at our home the same afternoon. The following day, we received (via email) several estimates (based on our requested options). After selecting the option and calling Brandon, his crew started within two days. We were extremely impressed by how efficiently his crew worked. They were always on time. They were kind and respectful. They communicated their plan. They left the job site CLEAN! We especially appreciated that Brandon's initial estimate and our final bill were in sync. There were no oops and upcharges! So far, we absolutely love the new flooring in our basement. We are happy to post this review and endorse the amazing team and the professional workmanship of ALL the folks associated with New Age Flooring, LLC in Clarksville, TN. We would not hesitate to use them again. Calvin R. Williams Dee Wagstaff-Williams

FAQ

How does New Age Flooring LLC determine pricing for carpet installation or flooring projects?

We assess your space through a detailed site visit to measure rooms accurately and evaluate surface conditions, which directly influences material needs and labor. Pricing factors in the type of flooring like broadloom carpet or hardwood, along with preparation work such as subfloor leveling and removal of old materials. Custom quotes ensure transparency, covering everything from cutting and stretching to finishing touches without hidden fees.

Are you licensed and insured for carpet and flooring work?

New Age Flooring LLC carries full licensing and insurance to protect both our team and your property during installations and remodels. Our coverage includes general liability for any on-site incidents and workers' compensation for our installers. Homeowners can request proof of these documents before we start any project to confirm compliance with local standards.

Does New Age Flooring LLC handle bathroom remodeling along with carpet installation?

We manage complete bathroom remodels including new tub installation, tile work, and updated flooring, often in coordination with carpet or plank flooring projects elsewhere in the home. Our process starts with site assessment to address any subfloor issues before precise installation of fixtures and finishes. This integrated approach ensures seamless transitions between spaces while meeting exact specifications.

What is your typical timeline and arrival window for flooring installations?

We provide clear scheduling with arrival times communicated in advance, arriving on time to begin site preparation and installation as planned. Timelines vary by project scope-for a single room carpet job, expect one day, while full-home flooring or remodels like kitchens take several days with daily progress updates. Our team anticipates potential delays from conditions like moisture levels and only proceeds when optimal for durability.

What does New Age Flooring LLC do with debris and cleanup after a job?

We remove all old carpet, excess materials, and construction debris from your property at the end of each installation day. Our team leaves the space clean, vacuuming new floors and ensuring edges are tucked neatly without residue. Homeowners can walk through immediately after to inspect, with any final touches completed on-site.

Why is your professional carpet installation approach better than attempting DIY?

Our method uses specialized tools like power stretchers for wrinkle-free seams and precise cutting that DIY lacks, preventing issues like buckling or gaps over time. We conduct thorough surface preparation and wait for ideal conditions, such as proper moisture levels, to ensure flooring lasts without warping. Professionals handle complex steps like padding installation and edge tucking safely, avoiding injuries and costly errors common in home attempts.
