I really like this company. Just had an exterior ground fault receptacle replaced today. Fair pricing and quick service today by Dillon and his associate. Dylco has done it all for me. From wiring a 220v kiln connection to fixing a damaged ceiling can light before my wife came home and discovered that I had stepped on while in our attic. Again, a great company!

FAQ

Does Dylco Electric offer free estimates, and how do you determine pricing for electrical work?

We provide pricing based on the specific electrical issue, the scope of work, and the materials required for your home or business. For many jobs, we can give a ballpark estimate once we understand your situation, and then confirm final costs after an on-site assessment. Our goal is to keep pricing fair and transparent so you understand what you are paying for before work begins. We focus on effective, long-lasting repairs or installations rather than quick fixes that could cost more down the road.

Are you licensed and insured to work on residential and commercial electrical systems?

Our electricians are trained to work safely on both residential and commercial electrical systems, including repairs, upgrades, and new installations. We operate as a professional electrical contractor, carrying the appropriate qualifications and protections required to perform this type of work in the Westfield area. This includes work in basements, for HVAC and well pumps, and on exterior receptacles. You can hire us knowing we follow electrical codes and prioritize safe, code-compliant installations.

Can Dylco Electric handle basement power restoration, ground fault receptacles, and commercial TV installations?

We handle a wide range of electrical projects, from restoring power in a flooded basement to replacing or installing exterior ground fault (GFCI) receptacles. Our team also completes commercial electrical work, such as installing televisions and wiring in viewing suites and other business spaces. These types of jobs often involve troubleshooting existing circuits, running new wiring, and ensuring everything is properly protected and grounded. We can address both one-time repairs and more involved electrical system installations.

How quickly can you schedule my electrical service, and do you offer same-day appointments?

We are structured to provide prompt service and often offer same-day appointments for urgent electrical needs, especially when power loss affects critical equipment like HVAC systems, well pumps, or hot water heaters. Dylco Electric aims to respond quickly so you are not without essential services longer than necessary. When you schedule, we discuss timing, expected arrival windows, and any access details we should know in advance. Our team works efficiently on-site to diagnose the issue and complete the repair or installation as quickly as conditions allow.

What should I expect from Dylco Electric in terms of cleanup and how my home is left after the job?

We work to keep your space as clean and safe as possible while we are on-site, whether we are in a finished living area, a basement, or a commercial suite. Our electricians pick up debris related to the electrical work, such as wire clippings, boxes, and packaging, and keep tools organized so areas remain easy to navigate. If we need to access walls, ceilings, or exterior areas, we discuss what that involves and how the area will be left when we are done. Our goal is for you to feel that the work area is orderly and safe once the electrical job is complete.

Why should I hire your electricians instead of trying a DIY electrical repair myself?

Electrical systems involve shock, fire, and equipment-damage risks that are not always obvious until something goes wrong, which is why many issues are better handled by a professional electrician. Our team is experienced in diagnosing problems in basements, service panels, and receptacles, and we use proper tools and methods to make sure repairs are safe and up to code. DIY work can easily overlook grounding, load calculations, or moisture issues, especially in areas like flooded basements or exterior outlets. When we complete a repair or installation, you get a properly tested system that is designed to operate safely over the long term.
