Bait and switch company. Pivotal Home Solutions via Nipsco uses them. Came out to fix a leaky drain on the left side of my 2 basin sink. William stated he connected and tightened the pieces and used a glue to secure them. Told me to be careful when I place items under the sink. I hadn't placed any items back and put down paper towels as a just in case it still leaked. Over the holidays I hadn't used my sink until Saturday or Sunday and noticed my drains are backing up. Prior to the "fix" their wasn't an issue with draining. They came out today and said yes it's backing up but your policy doesn't cover it. What! Hessville Plumbing CAUSED the issue. He's said do you have a crawlspace and did you poor anything down the sink...because that can splash on us. They actually thought I'd PAY THEM TO FIX A PROBLEM THEY CAUSED. Total screwups. They caused this issue..HESSVILLE PLUMBING IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY.

Unfortunately this company was assigned to address for a possible water main clog at my residence through my Indiana water protection program. Communication with this company is very difficult, they never answer the phone when you call. You always have to leave a message and wait for them to call you back. They immediately wanted to excavate and replace pipe, something that the protection plan does not cover. I feel like this is some kind of scam. They also never bothered to get back to me with an estimate. This is very unprofessional and this gives a bad look to the company.

FAQ

How does Hessville Plumbing determine pricing for drain and sink repairs?

We assess pricing based on the specific plumbing issue, such as the extent of the clog or leak, materials needed like PVC or copper pipes, and labor time required for tasks like routing out drains or connecting pieces in a trench. Homeowners receive a clear quote after our initial inspection to cover excavation, handyman adjustments, or full plumbing fixes without hidden fees. This approach ensures you understand costs upfront for services in Hammond and surrounding areas.

Do you offer free estimates?

Hessville Plumbing provides free estimates for all drain, sink, and plumbing repairs to help homeowners plan without upfront costs. Our team evaluates the problem on-site, whether it's a leaky sink connection or water main issue, and delivers a detailed quote before any work begins. This lets you make informed decisions about proceeding with necessary services like pipe installations or unclogging.

Is Hessville Plumbing licensed and insured for plumbing work?

We maintain proper licensing and insurance for all our plumbing, handyman, and excavation services to protect your home during repairs. This covers tasks from water heater installations with copper piping to trench work for water meters, ensuring compliance with local standards in Hammond. Homeowners can request verification details when scheduling for added peace of mind.

What is your typical timeline for scheduling and arriving at my home?

We answer calls promptly and provide same-day service whenever possible for urgent drain and sink issues in Hammond and nearby areas. Expect our team to arrive within the agreed window, communicating any updates if delays occur, as we prioritize clear scheduling from the first contact. This process applies whether handling a kitchen sink unclog or larger plumbing excavation.

Does Hessville Plumbing handle water heater installations and pipe repairs in trenches?

We perform water heater installations using copper piping, connect plumbing pipes in trenches, and repair exposed PVC and copper lines in walls for comprehensive home solutions. Our services extend to unclogging sinks, fixing leaks under basins, and utility area work like water meter setups. These tasks draw from our expertise as plumbers, handymen, and excavation contractors serving the area.

Why is it safer to hire you for drain repairs instead of trying DIY methods?

Professional drain repairs involve proper tools to route out clogs fully and tighten connections without causing pipe damage, unlike DIY attempts that risk worsening leaks or breaks. We identify underlying issues like hidden clogs in sinks or basins that homeowners might miss, preventing repeat problems and water damage. Our approach ensures safe handling of plumbing systems, avoiding hazards from improper excavation or pipe work that DIY lacks.
