FAQ
How does AccuMax Incorporated determine pricing for HVAC installations and repairs?
We base pricing on a detailed evaluation of your home's specific needs, including equipment sizing through load calculations that account for square footage, insulation, and ductwork condition. Quotes provided before work include labor, parts, and any necessary permits to avoid surprises. Our trucks stock major HVAC parts, which helps keep costs down by enabling same-day fixes without delays.
Are you licensed and insured for furnace, AC, and water heater services?
AccuMax Incorporated holds all required licensing and insurance for HVAC work in Illinois, including EPA 608 certification for handling refrigerants. We carry workers' compensation and general liability coverage to protect your property during service. Homeowners can request proof of these credentials upon contact to verify compliance with local standards.
Does AccuMax Incorporated handle mini-split AC installations, whole-house humidifiers, and commercial HVAC ductwork?
We install mini-split AC units on residential properties, connect whole-house humidifiers to furnaces, and handle commercial rooftop HVAC units with spiral ductwork. Our services cover furnace, air conditioning, and water heater systems for both homes and businesses in the western Chicago suburbs. These installations ensure proper airflow, static pressure, and system performance tailored to the property.
What is your typical timeline and arrival window for HVAC repairs or installations?
We respond quickly to urgent calls, often arriving the same day with stocked trucks for repairs like AC compressor issues or furnace failures. Installation timelines depend on the project scope but usually span from quote to completion within days, including any permitting needs. Expect clear scheduling windows and on-time arrivals to minimize disruption to your routine.
How does AccuMax Incorporated handle cleanup and debris after HVAC service?
We use drop cloths and shoe covers to protect your floors and furnishings during the job. All old parts, packaging, and debris from installations or repairs get removed and disposed of properly upon completion. Your home or business is left clean and ready for immediate use, with a walkthrough to confirm satisfaction.
Why is hiring you safer and more effective than attempting HVAC repairs or installations as a DIY project?
Professional installation follows manufacturer specs for refrigerant charging, line set sizing, electrical connections, and airflow testing, which prevents efficiency losses and equipment failure common in DIY efforts. We inspect ductwork for leaks and static pressure issues that amateurs often overlook, ensuring the system runs optimally. This approach extends equipment life and avoids safety risks like improper handling of refrigerants or high-voltage components.
