  AVOID Empire Fencing at all costs! We were SCAMMED $20,710 by Empire Fencing's owners Cazden Cabebe (aka Caz) and Shenile Galzote Cabebe. Don't let it happen to you! I trusted the positive reviews online when my husband and I hired Caz and Shenile to build a vinyl fence and automated gate, which is why I hope this review will help people avoid my same mistake. Empire Fencing have a script down for their scam - it involves Caz showing up and bidding a job slightly lower than competitors, acting professional and knowledgeable while making empty promises and false statements, using kind and reassuring words to appease your suspicions of fraud, claiming materials are supposedly delayed or giving odd reasons why work can't start yet. Caz and Shenile lie profusely to drag out the process, and intimidate you so you give up chasing them down and second guessing whether to take legal action, because the process is timely, stressful and expensive, especially when up against people who are experts at working around the legal system to deceive and manipulate. Caz and Shenile are shameless to steal money in disguise of a deposit for fencing work, with no intention of ever doing the work. Here are the facts and some take-aways for anyone considering Empire Fencing: Caz Cabebe, the owner, went to a check cashing service to cash a personal check we gave him as an initial payment for materials and installation of a fence around our property and automated driveway gate. The check was in the amount of $20,710, made out to Empire Fencing, LLC. Any legit business would have a bank account and would NOT be using a check cashing service and paying high fees. Caz and Shenile kept our $20,710 and NEVER DID ANY WORK AND NEVER DELIVERED ANY MATERIALS, despite claims of doing so. Caz uses an overseas phone service receptionist to screen his calls, funnel lies, and avoid direct communications. Caz claimed to have bought materials immediately after receiving deposit, and refused to issue a refund when no materials was ever delivered and no work was ever done. Instead, he gave numerous and ongoing excuses and tried to shift blame with false claims. Caz and Empire Fencing are NOT licensed and NOT insured, even though they claimed they were when we hired them. I believed their claim and didn't do the proper due diligence - that's my fault so learn from my mistakes and please use the government's resources that are available to you. Hawaii provides helpful resources online that everyone hiring a contractor should utilize - go to DCCA's website to verify business and contractor's license number. Check for past customer complaints with the Regulated Industries Complaints Office (RICO). If you do these two things, you will see Empire Fencing is NOT LICENSED and has multiple RICO investigated and validated complaints against them. I wish I could've wrote this review and warned people sooner. It took me over a year since hiring and paying Caz in June 2022 because Caz and Shenile are gifted scam artists. They strung me along as I wanted to believe they were decent people, and would eventually deliver materials at minimum; provide a refund as fair; or build the fence and automated gate as they were contracted and paid to do at best; however, none of the above happened, so here I am, writing this honest review - drained of money, time, and sanity because of Caz and Shenile at Empire Fencing.

  Please DO NOT use Empire Fencing. They fraudulently represented themselves as licensed and insured, took nearly 12 thousand dollars of my money back in February 2022, and due to claims of repeated shipping delays, promised me a full refund over a year ago. I have yet to receive that refund, or a partial refund. What I have received are excuses, delays, and runarounds. This has been the worst experience with any business in my entire life. I suspected they took advantage of me because I am elderly, however, there have been similar claims against this company by another customer. A recent email from Empire Fencing promised to reimburse me (provided they could sell off the materials which they previously said were partially sold, yet received no money from that either) IF I took down my YELP review. You may have to pay more to find a reputable fencing company, but it will save you from having your money stolen and a lot of distress.

  Empire was the 3rd vinyl fence company I contacted and the first to respond. We needed a double gate installed and a repair on a side gate. Caz came out and gave a more than fair quote and promised same day job completion. As promised, his crew came out and was very respectful, efficient and professional. Completed the job as requested in less than a day and results were phenomenal. Thanks for all your hard work. I will always use your services in the future when needed. Can't Recommend this company enough. There should be six stars rating options for exceptional companies such as this one. .

  Empire fencing did a great job of installing our vinyl fencing. He assisted us with getting the documents we needed to submit to our HOA. That was very helpful. From beginning to end he kept us informed and took care of every and anything that came up with the process Cazden and his crew delivered. We recommend them to anyone interested in installing and/or cleaning their fencing. Check them out!
