2 months agoWhat can I say about UAC and the two techs that showed up, Keahi and Levi? They are just plain awesome, that's what. Let me first start by saying that I had wanted replace my AC since August - however, it was a pain trying to get someone to replace an window unit, especially in an HOA area. In the last week of December, an issue sprung up that required me to really change the AC at this point (the old AC wasn't draining properly and was dripping on my downstairs neighbor's AC). So I ended up putting a request for quote and of the 3 that messaged me (One company kept spamming, another one said they don't perform the service), only UAC (ULTIMATE Air Conditioning, not to be confused with another company) responded and with a real person at the other end. Ms. Kimberly was very helpful in answering all my questions and concerns. Not only that, she was able to provide me options that fit my budget. And so, we scheduled the installation after I chose the more premium option of a 10,000 BTU air conditioner to replace my existing 8,000 BTU. On the day of the install, I received a call while at the auto shop - Keahi and Levi we're en route to my area an could start earlier if I was available. Excellent news to hear considering I had re-scheduled this for later but was already finishing up at the auto shop. Perfect timing! Keahi and Levi are doers more so than talkers - I really appreciate this as someone who likes to just focus on the work without extra chit-chat. However, they are also very knowledgeable and could answer my questions fairly easily. In other words, if you have questions, please ask! They will answer! Honestly feels like you just hired your friends to help you install your AC, haha~They were also receptive to my requests or things that I pointed out, which is a huge plus (I asked for additional caulking around the unit to ensure the best seal as I saw some light poking through from outside near the base of the mounting area). On pricing, I won't say they're cheap and good (does not exist) and most DIYers would probably tell you it's a rip off but I ain't a DIYer so there's that. I am someone who values a quality product and excellent customer service, and that, is what was delivered to me. In reality, the price is reasonable once you start itemizing all the things they need to do to get your new AC up and running. It's all inclusive to a reasonable extent (think HOA) - they replaced the cracked glass panel with plexiglass, ensured proper mounting brackets and leveling, took and disposed of the old unit. Special shout out to Keahi for addressing a post-installation issue with expertise and professionalism which I say reflects highly on the company as a whole. It truly is hard to find honest companies but even harder to find people who are proud of the work they do and are willing to back it up. Would I recommend Ultimate Air Conditioning? 100% Scheduling? Too easy. Professionalism? High level. Friendly? 100% Price? Worth every penny. Would I hire them again? Absolutely. -
