4 months agoExcellent company that has been in business for decades in Hawai'i. They are very familiar with all AC systems used in Hawaii and the management team stands by their work. Highly recommend for condos in Waikiki with AC units that often get moldy and need to get cleaned up. Also had a thermostat and UV light installed by them. Prices are very reasonable by Hawai'i standards. -

5 months agoI had Purair come to my condo until to Repair a clogged drain pipe. I also requested a deep clean on one ac unit and a maintenance clean on the other three units. Purair sent technicians Zeldy and Reno. I was very impressed with their professionalism, knowledge and work ethic I would highly recommend Purair and especially Zeldy and Reni for any air conditioning project. P.s. I also was impressed with the office staff who helped me through this project. -

1 year agoWe have a unit in The Waikiki Landmark and we're introduced to this company by our general manager/board of directors. All owners were strongly advised to have our A/C units completely changed for approximately $25,000.00 or in the very least, have a complete inspection, maintenance, and cleaning for approximately $2,500.00. We chose the latter and had them proceed with the work. We then had this company do annual cleaning and maintenance as advised by the general manager/Board of Directors. After hearing that they spent only 10 minutes at each unit(non-resident owners) for annual cleaning/maintenance work from another owner, I decided to have another company step in in August 2023. What they discovered was abhorrent and downright unacceptable: -the second bedroom's pan was completely rotted out, It was rusty and obviously had not been replaced for years. -the filters in the main bedroom and kitchen were filthy. -

1 year agoPurair Hawaii contracted to remove my old AC and install a new one. They arrived exactly at the hour agreed upon, prepped my apartment very carefully and worked for 8 hours in 82 degree heat to remove/install the AC. They did fastidious work in that heat, leaving the apartment spotless and with a beautifully operational AC. I would recommend them highly to anyone needing this kind of work.

FAQ
How does Purair Hawaii determine pricing for HVAC services?
We provide custom quotes based on the specific work needed, whether it's a repair, full system installation, or maintenance service. Our estimators assess your system on-site to give you an accurate price that reflects the scope of work, equipment involved, and any specialized services like deep cleaning or duct work. Contact us to schedule a free estimate so we can evaluate your HVAC needs and provide transparent pricing before any work begins.
Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?
Purair Hawaii operates as a licensed HVAC contractor in Hawaii, meeting all state requirements set by the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs. We carry the required liability and property damage insurance to protect your home during service calls. Always verify your contractor's current license and insurance before hiring-this protects you if anything goes wrong and ensures the work meets Hawaii's professional standards.
Does Purair Hawaii handle air duct cleaning and drain line repairs?
We handle the full range of HVAC services, including air duct cleaning, drain pipe repairs, and maintenance on all components of your cooling and heating system. Our team specializes in servicing older buildings and complex multi-unit systems common in Hawaii's residential landscape. Whether you need a single duct cleaned or a complete system overhaul, we have the expertise to diagnose and fix the problem.
What should I expect for scheduling and arrival times?
Purair Hawaii works with you to find a convenient appointment time for your service call. Once scheduled, our technicians arrive ready to diagnose and address your HVAC issues efficiently. We understand that Hawaii's climate makes air conditioning essential, so we prioritize getting your system back in working order as quickly as possible while maintaining quality workmanship.
How does Purair Hawaii handle cleanup after service work?
We leave your home clean and organized after completing any HVAC repair, installation, or maintenance work. Our team removes debris, cleans work areas, and ensures your space is restored to its original condition. This attention to detail-from the technical work to the final walkthrough-is part of our commitment to professional service in your home.
Why is professional HVAC service better than attempting repairs yourself?
HVAC systems involve refrigerants, electrical components, and complex mechanical parts that require specialized training and EPA certification to handle safely. Improper repairs can damage equipment, void warranties, create safety hazards, and end up costing more to fix later. Professional technicians have the tools, knowledge, and credentials to diagnose problems accurately, perform code-compliant work, and ensure your system operates efficiently in Hawaii's tropical climate.
