9 months agoHighly recommend rescue one for water leaks and general restoration. I had the unfortunate experience a behind the wall accident resulting in mold and water damage. Paul and his crew assess the damage and gave accurate estimates of Total Restoration. Crew was very professional and handle everything efficiently and timely. -

1 year agoThey're very slow and have incompetent workers, and they try to hide mistakes. Would not recommend for larger repair issues. Estimates took over three months to calculate for a small apartment bathroom, which I suspect was nothing more than them dilly dallying as they immediately started when our manager sent them a strongly worded letter. There was a leak from the unit above, and the unit called this establishment. The unit's bathroom toilet pipe had been leaking and seeped into the walls and cabinets with mold starting to grow. Rescue One advised us not to remove the cabinets, so we left them on. Repair didn't start until THREE MONTHS LATER. They kept making excuses about how they were calculating stuff, etc... and we still had moldy cabinets on the walls, drenched in sewer water. Repairs finally began and they dropped the drywall they brought in, which broke. They tried to cover it up and told us that nothing was wrong when we asked. They left scratches on the walls, chips around the door frames, bathtub, and bathroom. They also installed the toilet bowl incorrectly, and the person surveying it looked annoyed when we mentioned it to them. They told us that the toilet roll holder was salvageable but the cabinets were not, so we bought a new cabinet but not a toilet roll holder. When everything was finished, we realized that they had silently replaced the old toilet roll holders with some cheap ones (which they later charged us for), which were placed so high up because the repairman was over six feet tall and didn't think to ask us (5 feet people) where we wanted it to be. When I sat on the toilet, the holder came up to my HEAD. The medicine cabinet was also placed too high (and crooked). We could hardly see our head in the mirror from how high they placed it and we had to ask that they redo it, which they looked extremely irritated and annoyed at. However, it was the repairman who came in and did everything without ever asking us about it, so whose fault was that, really? -

Dan the site lead made sure everything was taken care of and completed over the weekend. They did an amazing job! -

FAQ
How does Rescue One Restoration determine pricing for water damage restoration?
We assess the extent of the water damage, including affected areas like leaks, floods, or hidden wall issues, to create a customized quote. Factors such as water extraction needs, mold assessment, drying equipment usage, and full repairs influence the final cost. Free estimates are provided after our initial inspection to give you a clear picture upfront.
Are you licensed and insured for water and fire damage restoration?
Rescue One Restoration is a Hawaii licensed contractor with license BC-38891 and IICRC certified for professional restoration work. Our insurance covers property damage services across Oahu. This ensures all jobs meet industry standards for safety and quality.
Does Rescue One Restoration handle mold remediation and fire damage along with water damage?
We manage water damage from leaks, floods, and hidden issues, including mold assessment and remediation as seen in wall inspections and severe growth removal. Our services also cover fire damage restoration with full repairs. Photos of our work show setups like plastic containment, PPE inspections, and drying equipment in kitchens and ceilings.
What is your typical timeline and arrival window for emergency water damage calls?
We offer 24/7 emergency response and aim to arrive promptly after your call to extract water and begin assessment. Jobs vary by damage scope, but our crew coordinates efficiently with other contractors under time constraints to complete mitigation and repairs. Expect clear communication on scheduling from initial contact through restoration.
How does Rescue One Restoration handle cleanup and debris after water damage restoration?
We remove all waste, debris, and contaminated materials generated during water extraction, drying, and repairs. Our process leaves your property clean and ready for normal use, with thorough cleanup after mitigation. This includes disposing of damaged sections like moldy walls or soaked flooring properly.
Why is your professional water damage restoration approach safer than attempting DIY?
Our IICRC-certified team uses specialized equipment like air movers, dehumidifiers, and containment sheeting to fully extract water and prevent mold growth that DIY methods often miss. We accurately assess hidden dangers in walls or ceilings to avoid structural issues and health risks from improper handling. Professionals ensure complete drying and repairs, reducing long-term costs compared to incomplete home efforts.
