1 year agoFor over a decade my mango tree was just for shade, until Nathan corrected and advised what to do. Every year since, mangoes! Nathan also cleared a 50+ foot albezia growing in between my and my neightbors chain link fences. The fences are only 2 -feet apart, and it was chopped down with absolutely no damage to the fences, they are very expert. They downed the albezias that werent poisoned. Nathan also utilized all the chips and logs and made large planters for us. Need expert advice for your māla, or to chop and chip ʻōpala, call Island Treescapes. Nate's your guy! -

1 year agoNathan and his crew have been doing our tree work for several years now and we are so happy with the service provided. They helped us get control of tons of invasive bamboo and some dangerously tall Areca palms near our home, as well as carefully pruning our mango tree. Our yard is totally transformed and we are so happy with it now! Nathan is extremely skilled and very experienced. A true professional. Clear communication, on time, very reasonably priced. We have him come every year now for maintenance and we love the results. All around great experience working with his team! All hard workers and will get a lot done in a short time. Very impressive! Thank you Island Treescape! -

1 year agoNathan is very skilled and professional in his work. As we reviewed the trimming/removal work to be done he asked clarifying questions and made sure he understood our expectations. He checked to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction - which it was. He cleaned up each day and most importantly showed up when he said. He removed a number of trees around obstacles without damaging other trees or plants. He gave a quote and stuck by it. We are very happy with his work! I will use him again and would highly recommend him. -

FAQ
How does Island Treescape determine pricing for tree trimming and removal services?
We assess each job based on tree size, location, condition, and access challenges to provide a custom quote after an on-site visit. Factors like overgrown albizia or invasive bamboo that require specialized handling influence the final cost. This ensures you receive accurate pricing tailored to your Big Island property needs.
Are you licensed and insured for tree services?
Island Treescape carries full insurance coverage and employs skilled arborists equipped for safe tree work. Our crew uses professional climbing gear and safety equipment for all jobs, from tall tree trimming to removals. Nathan verifies expectations and project details upfront to maintain high standards.
Does Island Treescape handle invasive species removal and tall tree work?
We specialize in removing invasive species like stubborn bamboo and overgrown albizia, as well as tackling dangerously tall trees. Our team performs precise trimming to restore fruit production in trees like mangoes and ensures safe removal even in tight spaces between properties. Photos show our arborists in climbing gear handling high branches and large stumps professionally.
What is your typical timeline and arrival window for tree service jobs?
We schedule jobs after clarifying your needs during the initial consultation and aim to complete most projects within the agreed timeframe. Our crew arrives prepared with work trucks and equipment, often finishing tall tree work or invasive removals in a single day when possible. Expect clear communication on start times and any adjustments due to site conditions.
What cleanup and after-care does Island Treescape provide after tree work?
We remove all debris, chips, and waste from your property, leaving it clean and safe after every job. Stumps from removals are ground down, and we cut wood into manageable pieces if you wish to keep it for firewood. This thorough cleanup protects your landscape and prevents hazards around your Big Island home.
Why is hiring you safer and better than attempting tree trimming or removal yourself?
Professional arborists use specialized rigging, climbing gear, and chainsaws to handle tall or precarious trees without risking falls or property damage. We identify issues like diseased branches or structural weaknesses that DIY efforts often miss, ensuring long-term tree health and safety. Our approach, including upfront clarification of your goals, avoids common errors that lead to further problems or injuries.
