9 months agoMack and his crew did an exceptional job on my screened porch build. We had an existing deck that he built a roof for and also screened the upper and lower deck area. I would not hesitate to hire them again, In fact I have already reached out to them again for some interior work. They also did a job for my parents and did a great job as well. To sum up my experience they were on time, had good communication, delivered quality work, and had fair pricing. -

4 years agoTHIS COMPANY DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THERE WORK. A good friend of mine hired this company to build a deck and replace the siding (masonite) on his home. They came out the first few times to fix there mistakes but have yet to do the job correctly. Now they are avoiding him... Not answering phone calls/messages.. that's just bad business.. if you can't fix it then just be straight up about it and make it right. I think your company should refund his money so he can pay someone else to do it at this point. -

4 years agoSpent 25k dollars on removing and replacing siding with new front porch. Took a week to build a 10x8 front porch. Took a month to replace siding on house. After job was completed they asked if we could burn debris in yard. They damaged roof with the jacks they use to install siding on tall side of house. After a couple months realized all the caulking was cracking and some of the siding was coming apart due to nails not installed correctly. They came out to fix it. About a year later siding doing the same thing and caulked cracked and trim loose. They came out to look at it. Said they would be back to fix it. A couple of weeks later and multiple text and phone calls no answer. I wouldn't recommend using them due to no warranty and nocommunication . I give everyone the benefit. But this one was bad. I spent 25k you would think it would last more than 2 years. I have pictures and screen shots of convo to prove. Thanks. Pay a correct company not subs from Home Depot. The guy literally said they get their help from Home Depot and they don't wanna work. I've tried and tried to reach out to them. They are a tail light warranty company. Do not use them -

5 years agoHad some siding replaced 2 years ago along with small front porch. At first it was ok. But a couple months later siding started to fall and caulk started to crack. I contacted them and they came and 'fixed' it. After that I also noticed the roof was damaged from the scaffolding that they put on top of shingles. After the winter the caulk and some siding started to crack/bow. this was around April May I knew it. I contacted them. They came out to look at it. Said they would fix it. That was 3 weeks ago. No answer no communication. Blocked me from Instagram and Facebook. Luckily I have all the screen shots and recording from my security cameras. I am going to take the necessary steps in getting this taken care of. Do not use them. They may have good reviews. But don't let it fool you.

FAQ
Does Handymack Construction & Renovation provide free estimates for handyman jobs like deck building or door installations?
We assess each project to determine pricing based on materials, labor, and scope, providing detailed quotes upfront. Straightforward tasks such as door installations are often priced by the job, while jobs with potential issues like drain setups may be hourly. Homeowners benefit from getting a written quote that covers both labor and materials before work begins.
Are you licensed and insured for services like circuit breaker work and roofing repairs?
Handymack Construction & Renovation carries liability insurance to cover any damage to property or injuries during jobs such as bathtub repairs and screened porch builds. This protects homeowners from risks associated with handyman tasks involving electrical or structural elements. We maintain proper coverage as standard for all our flooring, handyman, and roofing services.
Does Handymack Construction & Renovation handle custom decks, barn doors, and siding replacements?
We specialize in building sturdy screened porches, custom decks, and barn doors designed for daily use, along with door installations and caulking. Our team also manages flooring installations, roofing tasks, and repairs like drain setups to keep homes functional. These services cover both small fixes and larger projects from our Athens, GA location.
What is your typical timeline and arrival window for handyman projects?
We schedule jobs with clear timelines, arriving within agreed windows to complete tasks like porch builds or door installations efficiently. Custom projects such as deck expansions follow committed schedules, with our crew working to finish on time without unnecessary delays. Homeowners can expect updates if any adjustments are needed due to project scope.
Does Handymack Construction & Renovation clean up after jobs like flooring or caulking?
We handle all debris removal and cleanup after completing services such as bathtub installations, circuit breaker work, or deck builds. This leaves your home tidy and ready for immediate use, with no waste left behind. Our process includes proper disposal of materials from roofing or handyman tasks to minimize homeowner effort.
Why is hiring you for screened porches or custom doors safer than doing it yourself?
Our professional approach ensures sturdy construction that withstands daily use, avoiding common DIY errors like improper caulking or unstable supports seen in some siding issues. We use correct techniques for electrical tasks like circuit breakers and plumbing setups, reducing risks of injury or future failures. Homeowners save on potential repair costs from mistakes, as our experience handles hidden problems effectively.
