1 year agoI just purchased a house, there were some things I needed sorted out from the inspection, and some other work that needed to be done. I was getting a pump/well irrigation system so I needed power upgraded at one switch, and I had a water softener that needed permanent power (extend outlet). There were some other small jobs not worth mentioning. The appointment process was easy, and they were even able to work me into the schedule for the next day. Keith showed up on time, and the company even sent an email with a picture and bio (and did a courtesy call when he was en route). Keith found out everything that I needed done, inspected everything, and got me a reasonable quote. He got to work right away, and finished the job without leaving a mess. He solved all my issues and I have no doubt the work was done right. I would definitely use them again, and recommend. UPDATE: I had an issue with the weatherhead being damaged due to a tree falling, they scheduled a time to come out (non emergency) and got me fixed up the same day. They even worked to save me as much money as possible on the fix, without just spraying parts and costs at me. -

1 year agoJeremy was scheduled to provide estimate to install circuit to charge my new hybrid car. Gave estimate and advised he could get it done today if I wanted. He did an excellent job. Very thorough and neat. He had the job done within a few hours. Cost was within the estimate. Jeremy also checked another circuit I was having trouble with. Fixed. Very professional and reasonable price.

FAQ
How does Positricity determine pricing for electrical work?
We provide upfront, transparent pricing with detailed estimates before any work begins, so you'll always know what to expect with no hidden surprises. The cost of electrical work varies based on the type and complexity of the job-whether it's a simple repair, panel upgrade, or EV charger installation. We're happy to discuss your specific needs and work with you to find a solution that fits your budget.
Are you licensed and insured?
Positricity is a licensed electrical contractor serving Clearwater and the surrounding Florida communities. Hiring a licensed and insured electrician is important because it ensures the work meets safety codes and protects you in case of any issues. Handymen may have basic electrical skills, but they lack the specialty training that licensed electricians have, which increases the risk of electrocution or electrical fire.
Does Positricity handle EV charger installations and panel upgrades?
Yes, we handle both EV charger installations and electrical panel upgrades as part of our full range of services. Many older panels don't have enough capacity to support EV chargers or standby generators, so we'll evaluate your system and recommend the best solution to ensure safe and reliable operation. Most panel upgrades are completed in one to three days, including any required inspections.
How quickly can you respond to an electrical emergency?
Positricity prioritizes emergencies and offers prompt 24/7 emergency service to address urgent electrical issues right away. Electrical emergencies include situations like electrical shocks, sparks or arcing from outlets, buzzing sounds from the breaker panel, burning smells, exposed wires, or unexplained power outages. When you call, we'll assess the extent of the problem and explain exactly how we'll fix it, how long it will take, and what it will cost.
What should I expect when Positricity comes to my home for service?
We begin by assessing the extent of the problem and then break down exactly how we will fix it, how long it will take, and the cost. Our team arrives ready to work efficiently while respecting your home and minimizing disruption. For larger projects like rewiring, we use minimally invasive techniques to reduce repairs, and we'll explain exactly what to expect before we begin.
Why should I hire a professional electrician instead of attempting electrical work myself?
Electrical work requires specialty training and the right tools to ensure safety and accuracy-attempting DIY electrical repairs significantly increases the risk of electrocution or electrical fire. Licensed electricians have the expertise to diagnose problems correctly and perform work that meets safety codes and protects your home. Regular inspections, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance by a professional can also help reduce the need for major electrical problems down the road.
