1 month agoRefinishing a floor is a big investment, and my wife and I spent a while researching different companies to refinish the red oak floors throughout our new home. We decided to contract Jim & Andrea because of their commitment to craftsmanship and their eye for detail. Through each stage of the process, they were responsive and dedicated to doing the best job possible. Jim and Andrea spent the time to think through and explain opinions on color options, floor finish options and how they work the sanding process. After working through the grits on sanding, we came out with a masterpiece with superconsistent, smooth floors. We were so excited to see the finished product once the team was done! On a personal note, Jim & Andrea are lovely people who clearly care about their clients. I would hire them again if I had to do it all over. Choosing DVH is worth the investment! -

5 months agoWe recently used this company and were very impressed with their professionalism and very pleased with the results. They ripped out our old carpeting from the living room, 2 hallways and stairs. Then they refinished our wood floors in the living room and dining room. We chose the perfect stain for our floors with Jim's guidance. He and his partner worked very hard to give us beautiful floors. -

5 months agoI began a major renovation recently that involved removing a load bearing wall, replacing a linoleum floor in the kitchen and refinishing the entire hardwood floor - kitchen, living room and dining area. After meeting with Jim and Andrea - I knew I has settled on the right match and after having all of that work performed, I know that I made an excellent choice. Jim and his assistant Lewis did such an incredible job for me....I really couldn't be happier with the results. They converted the linoleum floor in the kitchen area with hardwood that they feathered into the existing hardwood floor in the dining and living room area, repaired any issues that existed in the original floor AND replaced a slate floor at my foyer with a gorgeous hardwood parquet that just crowns the whole project wonderfully. Jim understands how to treat a hardwood floor in a way that brings the natural grain out like no other floors I have ever seen. Altogether, he buffed the floor 5 times! He took his time - this wasn't a run in and get out in one day project and if that is what you are looking for, you have come to the wrong guy. If you want a master craftsman - someone who will give you an incredible final product, then I strongly suggest you reach out to Jim at Delaware Valley Hardwoods. I absolutely promise you won't be disappointed. I love my new floor and everyone who has come over to see if has had the same response. It looks Magnificent! -
