2 months agoWe had a flood under our flooring which required us to move out of our condo. Anthony and the ServPro team did a terrific job putting in new flooring, baseboard and painting the entire condo. Anthony was a pleasure to work with and responded to my question patiently and quickly. -

9 months agoI initially wrote a review criticizing my experience but was threatened with a lawsuit by whoever runs the ServPro Google Account. I've revised my review twice But I can't in good faith let the next customer waste their money when they have other options when it concerns mold inspections. My experience with Servpro was unfortunate and I believe they shouldn't dispatch techs to tenants of rental properties who they have testified on behalf of in court. The pictures show mold and leaks. Our report stated no leaks were found. See photos below 2nd revision * I left a review stating my experience and beliefs. The technician I BELIEVE IN MY OWN PERSONAL OPINION was conflicted. Therefore, we BELIEVE that we didn't receive the services we paid for. Threatening to sue me (obviously I have screenshots) then revising your response speaks volumes on your credibility as a company. But on the other hand, it is an effective tactic at ensuring positive feedback. Mind you, that's just my own opinion and belief. Not a fact. Please don't sue me. REVISION LIBEL: to make a false statement in writing. I wrote my opinion and experience with your services. In layman's terms, you can't do anything about it. Threatening a lawsuit seems a bit excessive, but as you requested, I revised the review. SERVPRO WILL THREATEN TO SUE YOU IF YOU ARE DISSATISFIED WITH THEIR SERVICES AND LEAVE A PERSONAL REVIEW -

11 months agoSam and Martin were able to show up ahead of schedule to assess and get my home initiated on drying out. They were able to work with the finished parts of my basement for drying out the whole area after my sump pump failed, and water had overflown on my drainage system.

FAQ
How does SERVPRO of Newark determine pricing for water damage restoration?
We provide free estimates after assessing the extent of water damage, affected areas, and required services like water extraction, drying, and repairs. Pricing depends on factors including the volume of water, materials damaged, drying time needed, and whether reconstruction work like flooring or painting is necessary. We can walk you through the estimate process and explain what's covered so you understand the full scope before work begins.
Are you licensed and insured to handle water damage work?
SERVPRO of Newark is licensed for general contracting and carries the insurance and credentials needed for residential and commercial water damage restoration. We handle everything from initial mitigation through final reconstruction, so you have one point of contact managing your entire claim rather than coordinating multiple contractors.
Does SERVPRO of Newark handle basement water cleanup and flooring replacement?
Yes, we handle complete basement water damage restoration including water removal, drying, and full repairs. Our services cover flooring replacement, baseboard restoration, and painting to return your basement to its pre-damage condition. We also perform duct cleaning and smoke mitigation if your water event involved fire or soot damage.
How quickly can you respond to a water damage emergency?
SERVPRO of Newark responds 24/7 to water emergencies, including same-day service calls. Fast response is critical because standing water spreads damage to walls, flooring, and structural materials within hours. Our team arrives with equipment ready to begin water extraction and drying immediately, which prevents mold growth and minimizes long-term restoration costs.
What does SERVPRO of Newark do with water-damaged materials and debris?
We handle junk removal and debris cleanup as part of our restoration process, so your property is left clean and ready for reconstruction work. Damaged materials like wet drywall, carpet, and insulation are properly removed and disposed of according to environmental standards. Once extraction and drying are complete, we manage all cleanup so you don't have to deal with hauling debris yourself.
Why is professional water damage restoration better than handling it yourself?
Professional restoration prevents hidden damage and mold that DIY cleanup often misses. We use commercial-grade water extraction equipment, moisture detection tools, and industrial dehumidifiers to dry materials completely-something household fans and towels cannot achieve. Our trained technicians understand how water moves through walls and floors, ensuring all moisture is removed before it causes structural damage or mold colonies that become expensive health hazards.
