2 months agoWe had a flood under our flooring which required us to move out of our condo. Anthony and the ServPro team did a terrific job putting in new flooring, baseboard and painting the entire condo. Anthony was a pleasure to work with and responded to my question patiently and quickly. -

9 months agoI initially wrote a review criticizing my experience but was threatened with a lawsuit by whoever runs the ServPro Google Account. I've revised my review twice But I can't in good faith let the next customer waste their money when they have other options when it concerns mold inspections. My experience with Servpro was unfortunate and I believe they shouldn't dispatch techs to tenants of rental properties who they have testified on behalf of in court. The pictures show mold and leaks. Our report stated no leaks were found. See photos below 2nd revision * I left a review stating my experience and beliefs. The technician I BELIEVE IN MY OWN PERSONAL OPINION was conflicted. Therefore, we BELIEVE that we didn't receive the services we paid for. Threatening to sue me (obviously I have screenshots) then revising your response speaks volumes on your credibility as a company. But on the other hand, it is an effective tactic at ensuring positive feedback. Mind you, that's just my own opinion and belief. Not a fact. Please don't sue me. REVISION LIBEL: to make a false statement in writing. I wrote my opinion and experience with your services. In layman's terms, you can't do anything about it. Threatening a lawsuit seems a bit excessive, but as you requested, I revised the review. SERVPRO WILL THREATEN TO SUE YOU IF YOU ARE DISSATISFIED WITH THEIR SERVICES AND LEAVE A PERSONAL REVIEW -

11 months agoSam and Martin were able to show up ahead of schedule to assess and get my home initiated on drying out. They were able to work with the finished parts of my basement for drying out the whole area after my sump pump failed, and water had overflown on my drainage system.

FAQ
How does SERVPRO of Hockessin / Elsmere determine pricing for water damage restoration?
We provide custom estimates based on the scope and severity of your water damage. Our assessment takes into account the affected area, the type of materials involved, and the extent of drying and restoration needed. We recommend calling us for a detailed evaluation so we can give you an accurate quote tailored to your specific situation. Most homeowners find that getting an estimate early helps them understand what to expect and plan accordingly.
Are you licensed and insured to handle water damage work?
SERVPRO of Hockessin / Elsmere maintains the certifications and insurance coverage required to handle residential and commercial water damage restoration safely and professionally. Our team includes certified personnel trained in proper water removal, drying, and restoration techniques. We work directly with insurance companies and can help document damage for your claim, making the process smoother for you.
What specific water damage services does SERVPRO of Hockessin / Elsmere offer?
We handle the full spectrum of water damage emergencies, from rapid water removal and flood cleanup to complete restoration of basements and entire homes. Our services include structural drying, mold remediation, carpet and flooring replacement, and full reconstruction when needed. We also provide related services like duct cleaning and fire damage mitigation, so we can address multiple issues from a single emergency.
How quickly can you respond to a water damage emergency?
SERVPRO of Hockessin / Elsmere operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays, so we can dispatch a team to your property as soon as you call. Our goal is same-day response for emergency situations because every hour matters when water damage occurs. The faster we begin water removal and drying, the less structural damage and mold growth you'll face.
What happens to water, debris, and damaged materials after SERVPRO of Hockessin / Elsmere completes the work?
We handle all debris removal and disposal as part of our restoration process, so your property is left clean and ready to use. Our team removes saturated materials, wet flooring, and other damaged items responsibly and hauls them away. We also ensure the space is properly dried and sanitized before we finish, leaving your home in the best possible condition given the damage.
Why is professional water damage restoration better than handling it yourself?
Professional restoration prevents hidden problems that DIY cleanup often misses, such as moisture trapped in walls, under flooring, and in structural cavities where mold can develop weeks later. We use industrial-grade equipment and proven drying techniques to remove water completely and safely, protecting your home's integrity and your family's health. Improper drying can lead to costly structural damage, electrical hazards, and mold contamination that become far more expensive to fix than professional restoration upfront.
