We hired EG Painting (Mr. Osmin Garcia) to finish our basement last year. Initially, we gave him 5 stars. The job was well-done, everything turned out nice. The latter part of last year, we hired Mr. Garcia. He started a 3 Season Enclosed Sunroom for us in November. Mr. Garcia did the foundation, it passed in November after he corrected what was asked of the County Inspector which was minor. Fast forward, we want to make this short, Mr. Garcia did not do any work on the Sunroom during the winter months. Everything was due to the weather, per Mr. Garcia. He came back in April, did the framing. We called the county for all Inspections and did all permits. Mr. Garcia told us, if we requested the permits, we would get it sooner and faster than the contractors. With that being said, once he completed the framing, we contacted the county for the framing Inspection. At this time, when the Inspector arrived, he informed us "we are here to do the close-in for the basement." We said "the basement." We told the Inspector, the basement was finished in August of last year 2024. The Inspector proceeded to go and check everything in the basement, low and behold, the basement failed inspection. Mr. Garcia failed to inform us that once you have electrical and plumbing done, you're supposed to do inspections for both with the county. He, on his own closed in the basement. Our basement failed inspection in May (2025) and Mr. Garcia did not install the fire blocking which was on the county plans that we gave him. Mr. Garcia met the county Inspector here, the Inspector told him what needed to down. Mr. Garcia had to remove at least 85% of the drywall, 2 sinks and he did not cover the floors. After, the drywall was removed for inspection, it took Mr. Garcia from May to September to get inspections completed. After, all inspections were done and passed, Mr. Garcia failed to return to install the sinks, put up drywall, paint and do the floors. All, we asked of EG Painting (Mr. Garcia) to come out and finish the project, the basement and Sunroom. At this point, we are very disappointed with Mr. Osmin Garcia, what started off fine, but did not end well on his behalf. Right now, we have an unfinished basement, drywall that was removed, left on the floor in the corners, our floors are damaged, sinks are in the middle of floor and less than 50% of a Sunroom. We are now in October, and he hasn't reached out to us or returned our calls.

Osmin completed our basement, and it looked great. So, we hired him to do a Sunroom. Long story short, when the Inspector came out to inspect the foundation for the Sunroom, we found out then from the County Inspector, a plumbing and electrical inspection was not done in the basement. After bringing this to Osmin's attention, he wasn't a bit surprised at all. Osmin had to remove 85% of the basement walls, to get the inspections done which never took place. This has been going on since 2024. After Osmin spoke with the inspector, he made promises after promises to us that he would take care of everything. NOTHING, Osmin changed his number. We only asked of Osmin to complete the job, he did not. He left our basement with walls opened, sheetrock on the floors, which left the floors damaged, sinks in the middle of the floor. This is just minimum. I definitely do not recommend this company. Mr. Garcia left us with problems that we can't even fathom. We are just now getting on track.

This company is terrible, the owner Osmin is a joke of contractor, they work for 2 hours in 2 days and disappear for 30 days even months, he would ask for more money every time even when it's not what you agreed with him and it'snot in the contract, he would call you to tell you about all kind of tragedies in his personal life which are lies and at the end of the story he would ask you for more money . I had to tell him, stop talking about your personal life bc I don't even know you and I don't care, please call me just to talk about the construction project. This company is a scam , please stay away from it , the quality work is horrible, irresponsible and unprofessional people who work in different projects at the same time and they will leave yours for whenever they got a chance to come back and work for an hour . I fired the guy Osmin and I will take him to court, he is the worst contractor you can have.
